TBH, if I were to play on a PvP Server (I still wouldn’t), I’d rather be Debuffed than Ganked. However, PvE Servers helps me not have to make that call.
EDIT: Also, I’m just going to post this, here (IK it was meant for the P2 nonsense, but I still think it holds truth for this Dispelling stuff, going on): Meanwhile in PVE realms...?

Using an addon to see peoples world buffs and rez/dispelling with zero counterplay is not PvP. Its just being a jerk, but they get off on it.

Going out of your way to upset people is a sociopathic tendency. I think that’s really the crux of the issue. If you get enjoyment out of simply ruining someone’s fun by constatnly ganking unsuspecting lowbies or constantly rezzing to dispel people (in your spare time), I feel like there is something wrong with your brain.

The best part is catching people teleport into Orgrimmar with full world buffs in the Valley of Spirits. Most of them can’t fight back against a couple of rogues.
And of course, somethingsomething pvp happened on a pvp server.
Because I am a rabble-rouser, in a RP guild of rabble-rousers, on a RPPvP server full of other rabble-rousers, and it sounds like our rousing has rousted the rabble.
Though Id much prefer to Mind Control you off the elevator in Thunderbluff. That’s hilarious. Question for you. Why are you o a PvP server?
I think most people who have an issue with dispelling don’t feel the same way about dying to rogues. That is true PvP, you’re exposing yourself, there is a counter play, you can survive if you play right. I have zero issues with Rogues ganking.
The rez / dispellers with addons that show worldbuffs are just lame though
I can answer that:
PvP is fun, competing for farming spots / open world resources is fun. Defending yourself from ganks is fun.
rez / dispelling wasn’t really a thing in Vanilla so people didn’t expect it coming in. I’m sure alot of people who rolled on PvP servers because they like being able to compete for open world resources would switch to PvE if they could go back in time because of the cancerous dispell meta
Cancerous is saying everything is some kind of “meta” and calling things cancerous. Is it meta if I think it’s hilarious some pimple faced geek is crying his eyes out because he got a buff dispelled and now the other sweaty pimple faces in his hardcore no casuals no fun super serious guild won’t let him raid? Well then consider me mesothelioma. I think it’s hilarious OP made this post.
There is counter play. Come find me and kill me. Get your friends and come raid Alliance territory. Don’t post on a forum crying about it.

Yeah, I’m pretty much the dream for gankers/dispellers. Just a big juicy bag of buffs.
It’s sucks to get ganked, but it makes the game spicier. At this point in classic, it’s easy to be bored. I don’t mind some psychopathic rogue trying to take my buffs. It’s like a mini game.
Did you choose a pvp server?
there is zero counter play to a priest laying dead in orgrimmar waiting to rez and instantly dispell someone. You can’t “find” someone who is sitting there in ghost form just waiting for a victim
Kinda depends on what you mean by the definition of “dispelling.”
Because I can equip a mace that gives me the chance to dispel buffs (including world buffs) on hit, though it requires me to be alive and hitting you (preferably stunlocking). Also its proc rate is kinda crap.
Neither was world buff stacking for every raid. You meta game one thing and expect the downside not to be metagamed? Its two sides of the same coin.
what are your opinions on someone killing you with full buffs?
Its pvp. Its not the first thing that comes to mind when someone says pvp but its pvp nonetheless.
