A lot of my accounts were banned for botting. I obviously appealed it and after 3 weeks, all of the bans were taken off. HOWEVER. I bought more accounts, those were eventually flagged as bots and banned. Since they’re on a new license, support can’t figure out that they’re running on the same pc and won’t give me the time of day to look at the other bans that were overturned on the other account. So what am I supposed to do about these new bans? I’m not stupid enough to bot and idk what I’m doing to trigger this other than being on wow all day long and sometimes online at 3 am. Is playing for too long and being disabled now against the rules? Am I making too much gold that they’re now targeting me to remove me from the game? Why would they overturn the bans one one bnet but not the other? CS is in such a poor state. I’ve been warned on both accounts now trying to get a human being to review my cases. I can’t get anyone to look at the two at the same time without them threatening to permanently lock my accounts. What a spit in the face.
You can keep appealing until they tell you that no more appeals will be looked at and any further appeals will be considered as GM harassment.
They banned me for 3 days for appealing. I can’t appeal anymore or they’re going to ban my account.
You put in an appeal, like last time.
No to all these. If I had to make a guess, given this information:
Taking you at face value that you do not bot, I would infer that you are multiboxing in some way. Running many accounts on one PC would require either an incredibly-expensive hardware setup or a software solution. There are fairly new rules regarding multiboxing and the software used for it.
That would be the first step. Assessing what software you may be using, and then how you’re using that software.
Not really. Not liking the response you get doesn’t say anything other than you don’t like the response. Are they wrong? Perhaps, and mistakes do happen. That’s why the appeals process is in place: because they know mistakes can be made.
All appeals are reviewed by a human being.
If they are at the point where they are not looking at your situation, and saying future contact will be considered GM Harassment? Then your appeals process is over.
That’s when all your appeals have been exhausted. The answer is not going to change. Harassing the GM’s is definitely a bannable offense.
Do you use anything such as AutoHotKey, external macros that do more than one thing in-game per button press, or use any form of software that can perform actions repeatedly?
I know you mentioned a disability, so that’s why I’m asking. Doing any of the above can lead to account actions.
If you do send in enough appeals after they told you they will not accept any more, that is GM Harassment and will result in further penalties as well.
Can you never do this again? Breaking apart each sentence makes you look insane.
I don’t use software to multibox. I use one addon and I only use the auction house on all of my accounts. If they overturned all the last bans, they obviously concluded that I’m not botting. Also, pcs aren’t that expensive. You can build one that can handle a dozen clients for around 1k.
No.
So, you have one PC running X number of WoW clients, and you alt-tab between all the windows? That’s perfectly fine, if you do so. You have no other software programs running in the background, even if you are not using said program for WoW?
Not necessarily. Sometimes, they see the punishment wasn’t correct, and reduce the suspension. And I would be willing to bet that for some investigations, they give the benefit of the doubt, but continue to monitor.
Even so, past successful appeals do not mean a future appeal will go the same way. The current actions are what’s being appealed, and if they have evidence, they are not going to overturn it. Once you get to the point where they say further communication will result in account actions for GM Harassment, then the discussion is over and further communication will result in account actions.
Did you miss where I said they unbanned all of my accounts? I don’t have any automation tools on my pc. My leg is my problem, not my hands or my brain. I have the free time to be on my pc because of my disability, that doesn’t mean I’m going to resort to third party tools to play the game for me. I’ve minmaxed everything I do with ingame macros like making a macro to one-click buy items on the ah. An instant logout macro using /logout. I’ve even made an addon to overwrite my keybinds while it’s turned on so I can assign the same macros to all my keys for all my characters. All of this is using the in-game macro system, meaning it’s all allowed.
What do you mean by this? I have other programs running, like Firefox and other games. I need clarification of what you mean by other software programs.
"I got your ticket a short while ago about your account being banned. And as I said I sent your details to our specialists who would check this out further.
I have got word back from them, and I have just unlocked your accounts.
It triggered one our detection systems by mistake. We have adjusted our systems so it shouldn’t happen again. I apologize for any inconvenience you may have suffered from this."
This is part of the response I got when my accounts were unlocked the first time. CS is useless.
Not at all. But that was the previous situation, and does not apply to future actions. Each account action is judged on its own merits. There is no “well, we unbanned this player last time, so we’ll have to do it again”.
If there are any programs that you might use for other games, even if they are allowed in that game, and even if you are not actively using them for WoW, you can be actioned if they are running in the background.
Once again, this does NOT mean that THIS time, it’s the same situation. If you are at the point where they have said appeals will no longer be taken, then the appeals process is over. The decision is final.
And yes, to answer the question in your thread title, you can be actioned for continuing to appeal when they say the decision is final.
