Not sure where this belongs but it was driving me insane.
Ever since the pre-patch my mouse has felt off. At first it was completely messed up, and then there was issues with sensitivity.
After looking through the Cvar browser i found the issue i was having.
So using “/console rawMouseEnable 1” enabled raw mouse and fixed a few issues I had, but I was still facing some weird… inconsistency in mouse movement with the camera.
Tried everything from razer crap to nvidia to wows slider but nothing worked.
I KNEW it was acceleration because I always have to disable that in games. I can always “feel” it… I mean who wants an inconsistent mouse based on how fast you move the camera? makes no sense.
Decided today to just look through all references to “mouse” in Cvar and found
“/console rawMouseAccelerationEnable 1” I was just sitting there thinking wow, that’s some bs blizz. Whole point of raw mouse is to fix issues with the mouse and they have enabled mouse acceleration by default for raw mouse input…
So anyways, TLDR,
“/console rawMouseEnable 1” fix most mouse issues
“/console rawMouseAccelerationEnable 0” to remove raw mouse acceleration
Also it seems the mouse was changed in pre-patch in general, in order to get gamepad support I suspect.
Use to be when you left or right clicked anywhere the cursor would just vanish as an indication that you clicked. Now it only does this when you move the camera, and it takes a few pixels before it actually vanishes and starts registering movement.
I know it’s minor, but it’s very annoying for me anyways… I looked around and it’s been known for months, so i think it’s a feature and not a bug sadly.
