I don’t see the problem with it.
As a drakthyr I can now fly like a druid and what makes it better is I can use the gamon toy and be a floating tauren running through the air. It’s hilarious!

I personally think it’s a great change. Staring at the same 7 or 8 dragons this entire xpac was getting very old.
People will whine about anything on these forums though. The 5 second cast to swap is a big one apparently lol like how often do you really need to go back and forth? What are you even doing?
I understand that some players with an inability to use skyriding due to a disability or whatever but you just need to activate steady flight and you’re set. I know it’s set to be locked behind pathfinder for some dumb reason but it’s really easy to get this time around at least.

That’s good to know - I threw the toggle off my screen and was like… “oops, where do I find it if I need it?”
I actually checked the spell book and found it in a secret hidden drop down menu…. but today I learned it’s in the Mount page as well.

While I would agree that there are plenty of reasons to cancel a subscription, this seems like a rather nonsensical one. You are aware that you can change your flying style at any time, right?

Um… no? Previously, you couldn’t change the flight style because there wasn’t even an option to choose. Was that a serious question?
How is “having a choice” the same as “not having a choice”? You choose a style and stick with it. Just like others who prefer the new style now have the choice to choose the new style.
I mean, sorry, but this feels like having to explain a 1 + 1 equation to you. Some players really seem to be allergic to new possibilities.
Believe me, I’m someone who has a lot to criticize about this game, but giving players more freedom in how they play is definitely not one of them.
Um yes. You had a dynamic flying mount and a traditional flying mount. 2 keybinds for different flying. Instant. Don’t play stupid.
You can keep trying to frame this as some new option all you want but this is a forced choice with a cast time.
If they REALLY wanted to add choice, they would’ve utilized the mount equipment function and allowed you to pick and choose which flying different mounts had. But the current model is a punishment for switching and all for the sake of adding a minor aesthetic choice.
Quality of life downgrade.

Nah people just want to AFK through the game and show off all the stuff they got doing nothing to get it, and that includes AFK flying above a rare, hitting it once and claiming they spent 800 years farming it.

Skyriding is not too much for me. It gives me motion sickness and is no fun. I’ve been playing since Vanilla, I have AOTC in just about every raid, KSM and KSH under my belt too.
Don’t tell me I should not be playing WoW.

It used to give me motion sickness too, until I turned off all the fancy effects that went with it and now, no issues.
I thought we went through this when Dragonriding was first introduced?
I’ve tried all of the motion sick fixes and they do help, but don’t remove motion sickness.

Once again, you have the option to choose between one of the two flying styles and stick with it. No one is forcing you to switch back and forth constantly. Is that really so hard to understand?
Previously, not all mounts could be used. Now they can. Players are given the choice to choose freely. More options = more freedom in the game.
Before, there was no such choice. You only had a tiny selection of wannabe dragons that you could use for the new flying style.
