Party wide twink XP debuff 8.2 .... WHAT?!

If people want to exploit, they can, but there will be punishment following it up.

Am I in an alternate dimension where logic is gone? Is this real life? Is this just fantasy?

XP off was literally added to the game when battlegrounds started rewarding experience.

Blizzard catered to twinks by allowing them to shut off experience.

Kids whined and eventually twinks were put in their own brackets and now blizzard is beefing twinks again.

Never amazes me how much blizzard hates the idea of people not playing at end game

blizzard wants you playing the game their way, they don’t want you having the freedom do as you like, get with the program or unsub.

Blizzard is not saying that xp off is an exploit. They’ve simply decided that people taking advantage of it so they can sell power levelling is no longer kosher. So they are applying a debuff to nuke power levelling in conjunction with xp off.

It’s like many tools in game, when properly used they’re perfectly legit. But any tool can be abused and used the wrong way.

Who determines the right or wrong way to do something though

And that’s why we are here.

Not sure what your comment has to do with mine, but anyhow…

I don’t know percentages on this, and quoting a figure is fine if you have the facts to back it up. And I have no idea how the Freehold thing worked but i can guess.

But I do know how Blizzard looks at exploits, because they clearly say it in their Terms of Use. It is considered a “cheat” if it results in a player gaining an advantage that others do not get. If you are a 110 and turn off your exp out in the world and indulge in PvP, there is nothing wrong with that. However if you use some system to bypass the protocols inplace to separate experience-off twinks from non-twinks, then that is a cheat. It’s the method and result that counts.

That answer is simple. Blizzard. They’re the ones who run the game.

It’s just like if you enter my apartment, you abide by my rules. If you can’t abide by my rules, you’ll find yourself OUTSIDE of my apartment very fast.

Obviously, you two have run out of excuses for it, and thus no longer have an argument.

The macro is an exploit. I thought everyone agreed on that. The larger twink community made fun of people who did the exploit and reported them when possible.

Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality.

I just assumed you read what Slapdeeback said and decided to join in on the argument. There is a macro that lets you turn que into XP on bgs as XP off, that is 100% an exploit because it is surely not intended to work that way. Freehold boosting on the other hand, is on the edge of exploitation, but isn’t necessarily an exploit. A good example of a true exploit is the XP potion bug a few months ago, an unintended mechanic that got into the game which people took advantage of, and they rightfully got banned for that.

No argument, confirmed.

Go and whine about your twinking, elsewhere.

Maybe you wouldn’t be under such attention if further exploitative activity wasn’t a common issue with twinks:

I’m not saying that you personally are a part of this mess, just that it doesn’t do your “community” any good.

It becomes an exploit when one uses there state of being over powered at 110, using that state to practically face roll through content in a manner that was never intended. Dragging along with you two others or 4 others simply to make gold.

110 twinks are not fresh 110 players, they farm to get titan forges and the best possible azerite gear they can.

They then exploit this over powered state and sell carries.

I’m sure to some degree it’s fun to run through freehold gathering all the mobs at once, ect. However it was never the intention that content, current content, be run through in this manner.

Not to mention the fact that blizzard probably wants people to level through the expansion and not purchase a carry bypassing all the content. I realize blizzard sells boost to 110 at this point. However, it’s been pretty consistent that blizzard wants players working through the current expansion at a fairly consistent pace. Not to go 110-120 in 2 hours running behind a DH twink while tabbed out watching netflix.

A few people in a group of many did an exploit = delete twinks?
Okayyy dude

Yes, and it was nearly done back in BC. Because it’s an exploit. So yes, okay.
