Party wide twink XP debuff 8.2 .... WHAT?!

Your brain stopped working. Twinking for any reason(s) is an exploit. Blizz has been at it with this for over a decade.

Just because you describe it a different way, it makes it true. It is an exploit.

ex¡ploit
verb
/ikˈsploit/ 1. 1. make full use of and derive benefit from (a resource).

Why is xp off allowed then? what?

It’s an exploit, a 10g exploit to be correct.

It was Blizz’s way not to get ten thousand QQ posts and to lose subs. They compromised by adding the xp off after BC. Twinking is still an exploit. They just “allow” it certain circumstances or places. BG’s is the only place it’s “allowed”.

It’s in the game so people who want to stop their xp can. Kalli can actually put up a solid argument, but what? How is twinking as a whole an exploit? if people want to do pvp with xp off they can, that’s what xp off was intended for.

You are allowed to Twink.
You are allowed to participate in all the content the game has to offer for that level.
You are allowed to interact with others like you.

What you cannot do, is use this advantage to grief others, or to bypass intended game mechanics.

Doing instanced PvP with non-twinks is griefing, hence why y’all got separated.
Doing 120 instanced content with twinks is bypassing game mechanics. Hence this coming change.

What of all that is so hard to understand?

I know lots of people who don’t have a 120 and solely make high level twinks, you should be able to do what you want in this game, there are many paths you can take and none of them are “playing the game wrong.”

Now you’re starting to get it. Proceed…

You lost me.

I’m not explaining it a third time.

Yes, you said that in the first sentence.

His statement is that twinking as a WHOLE is an exploit though, not just pvp or freehold boosting.

Can’t even put up a solid argument. I’m done with you, clearly have brain damage.

I believe it was originally created to allow players to slow down the level at which they advanced for various gaming purposes. For example, if you were levelling with a friend and they didn’t play as often as you, you could turn off your exp and still play the character for gathering, exploring, etc without outlevelling them. It was back in the pre-scaling days when you needed to move along into different zones because once you hit a certain level all your fights became irrelevant and your activity rewards lessened.

I remember when I started playing, you could pick what mount you used because a lower level friend’s mount speed was less than yours and you were constantly having to slow down for them. That was a gaming option to assist with social play. I think exp off was for very similar reasons. Yes, it was used in battlegrounds back in the day, but there were loss opportunities then for stronger gear (fewer heirlooms, no Timewalking, etc).

You can’t do 120 instanced content with twinks. Heroic and mythic islands & dungeons are locked. You can’t do raids. You can do 3 dungeons unless you walk to the other faction’s zones. Normal islands are hardly “120 content”

Not at all. I knew someone who thought that he could do whatever he wanted because he paid his rent. He found out that he was wrong, at the end of the month.

What logical argument is there for doing what you want? Especially at the expense of others…

99% of twinks before this freehold boosting came along did open world pvp and bgs though, can’t really call it an exploit when you aren’t taking advantage of anything unintended.

This isn’t real life, this is a game. You can play it how you want, it’s meant for entertainment.

You know, you’re mistaking. Having fun? Obviously unintended!

Facts are more than an argument. You gave lousy excuses and I destroyed your “argument”.

Run along, then.

Destroyed my argument by bringing real life into an argument about a video game? Ok.

Obviously you can’t. Everything has rules, Billy. You can’t run an exploit and then get mad later, when you’re caught.
