Parses/raider IO/sims are whats killing wow

I understand that most guilds are full of like-minded people. Some are overwhelmingly helpful. Some are trolls who exist to wreak havoc on those they see as unworthy.

This second type is what we see in the forums representing elite players, players who appear to exist to trash casuals and demand they be punished for not playing the game like a second job since vanilla. We see the same thing in trade chat, so it’s clearly a big part of the “community”.

All falls back to Bliz and their magic rotation/timing for classes cause of you aren’t doing it then you aren’t playing right. Yet they won’t say what it is…

There definitely are people like that. You just need to find a guild that has the same approach to the game as you to. A social guild, where the focus is on hanging out and enjoying the game and the raid together. Not a guild that’s trying to progress towards AotC as quickly as possible.

Never, I tend to run a 95% average. Also I hard carry almost every PUG I go in, and I only do PUGs. It’s not the end all be all, but RIO and Logs are great tools.

Never for me

“Never doubt the capacity of min-maxers to ruin a good MMO”

Didn’t you buy your +10 key that you have timed? It seems you more aren’t up to par with your class and complaining that people say you aren’t good enough. Parses in WoWlogs compare you to every player that logs so if you gray parse you are in the bottom percent.

Dps logs have existed since vanilla.

Log analysis was definitely not a common thing in vanilla. I raided a fair amount in vanilla and never ran into someone using logs.

Not really no. The “elite” players on the forums aren’t telling anyone they can’t or are unworthy of getting the same gear. What’s being said is that if you want the high level gear, you need to do the hard content that drops it which is all group content. And that is taken as some kind of gate keeping by the solo players who refuse to do group content.

Maybe not logs but dps meters definitely were and low dps were at risk of getting benched.

Noob < Casual < Hardcore

Outdated PC < Min Spec PC < Best rig PC

Lazy/Unlucky < Average < Exceptional

No time < Moderate time available < Neckbeard

spin the wheel in each category and let’s see where you end up!

For those unaware, OP posted a recent thread about how he was unfairly removed from raid due to low damage.

He also lied and acted egotistical in his thread, and anyone that reviewed the data agreed he was removed fairly.

I ran with multiple guild back then that ran logs for everything, you had to if you wanted to prove your server/world first kills.

We used to scramble to upload them not uploading right away could cost you your rank.

i cant for the life of me remember the site, it wasn’t as sophisticated as the ones we have now, there was no live logging or breakdowns but you had to submit your combat logs and it gave guild/players ratings.

a couple of times over a decade less than ive been insulted IRL

Every new item i get and plan to possibly equip, multiple runs if its a ring or trinket to compare each slot. I then spend a few mins on dummies testing if its a trinket or has a proc (or replaces an item that did)

Never, there is a ton of dps applying to group, you take the classes that bring the type of utility you need.

Never cause I tend to pump.

Am I supposed to guess what item is an upgrade and what item isn’t lmao.

And your guess is worthless since its objectively wrong.

It means you pretty much were doing as much damage as a dead player.

No, you simply do not know how to properly play your class, that is fine, there are guides out there that can teach you; Wowhead and Icyveins come to mind.

Good news is that you can ignore them, others will not.

That’s very sweet of you to do.

Fury pumps in keys.

A quick glance at your Rio page says that you fail timers more often then not.

I just play the content and have fun too, i just invested a tiny bit of time learning my class in order to perform better.

That’s great that you bring your own buffs, but those buffs lose value if you cannot execute your rotation properly.

A good raider would bother to learn his rotation.

The “spreadsheet” said you did as much damage as a dead player.

Ain’t you the guy that was salty you got kicked from a H Denath group when you were doing the same damage as the tank?

Ofcourse it would be you who made this thread.
