I’m feeling much the same. But what can you do?
Join everything you can until your game time runs out but only have a weapon equipped…if anyone asks why tell them Blizzard said officially gear doesn’t matter and you don’t deserve it. I am thinking of printing my ticket and putting it behind glass. I would get it signed at Blizzcon but they canceled it this year…
Should reward this blue post to say that you rolled out a fix for “SOME” of the players affected as you did not roll it out for “ALL” players affected.
Submitted a ticket and got this response back that if was not already replaced by now then they could not replace at all. Really hope this is not the intent and we are all just SOL. I received a curio from my cache.

Thanks for contacting us about mistakenly receiving a reward with the wrong item level, a Forbidden Flounder, or a Flame-warped Curio, from new Season 4 activities that rewarded a Cache of Awakened Treasures.
I understand it’s frustrating when in-game activities don’t work as intended and I am sorry you were affected by an issue like this. Sadly, Customer Support cannot assist with replacing a random item of the wrong item level and so requests of this nature cannot be fulfilled. Any eligible cases that could be resolved by our development team have now been resolved by them:

If you did not receive a replacement cache, then unfortunately it was not possible to resolve the issue in your case.

It’s silly I’m disappointed about this, because a 493 ilvl item is going to be replaced quickly this tier, so in the long run, not getting an item shouldn’t matter. It’s just the principle. We pay a subscription, put in the time to run 5 time walking dungeons, and due to a bad luck of the RNG draw (and their shortsightedness to include the curio in the loot pool), we got a curio that can’t be used for anything. Can’t even DC it.
But I’d like to know WHY the curio was excluded in the fix. Why was it included in cache in the first place. What’s being done to make sure this kind of issue doesn’t happen again in the future.
I responded to my FU response by asking why we can’t get more transparency on this issue.
Why for instance, did I not receive a replacement when I opened my cache well before the hot fix, which according to the blue post should have meant I was getting a replacement. So why was I and so many others exempted from compensation?
As I said in another thread, we were all victims to a blizzard bug, either make it right for all affected or don’t do anything. Don’t fix it for some but not others.

My response from blizzard was :
If you did not receive a replacement cache, then unfortunately it was not possible to resolve the issue in your case.
Keep re-opening your ticket, as I have. Keep reminding them that this is not an acceptable solution. They should not have corrected anyone’s loot issue if they can’t correct all of our loot issues. This is something that can be resolved but they’re hoping we’ll just shut up and take the L.
Do not accept that response. They all work for Blizzard. Continue to open and re-open your customer support tickets and post on the forums until it gets escalated high enough. Escalate these issues higher so that the management of the teams have to discuss with each other.
Just in case anyone got the flame warped curio 441 ilvl item from the time walking cache, I just received a ticket response saying that this is not a bug and it was intended to reward an lvl ilvl tier piece from last tier and they will not be doing anything about it.
Again, blizzard “intended” for us to receive this outdated curio.
I think this is a classic case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, resulting in poor communication. That’s pretty much the Blizzard standard nowadays.
Remember when Blizzard use to be so good people said it had Blizzard Polish. Now we need to coin a new phrase like Blizzard Duhhhh or Blizzard Oopsie…
It never really did. But those games where on disks/CDs so we were stuck with them. But there are always bugs. Every game ever made, especially AAA games, are always full of bugs.
So apparently, the 441 Flame Warped Curio is working as intended and those of us that received it are just getting the middle finger from Blizz:

It’s our understanding that you received a 441 Flame-Warped Curio from your recent Timewalking cache and you were hoping to receive a reward that was level appropriate
This was a known issue were Caches of Awakened Treasure from the Burning Crusade Timewalking quest were rewarding items that were lower level than expected. This has been fixed by the developers and rewards received before the fix were exchanged for level appropriate Caches
It was also possible when opening these caches that you could receive a 441 Flame-Warped Curio from your Timewalking Cache. We can confirm this is not an issue under investigation and no exchange will be possible for this item. It is not possible to seek an exchange or swap to optimum loot here, as the Flame-Warped Curio was the loot you were intended to receive here. We definitely understand this is less than ideal and we are very sorry you ended up with this token which has no use in the new season.

I love it because they keep regurgitating the same copy and paste over and over how there’s nothing they can do. There’s a log of every item our characters have ever picked up, you can restore items you’ve deleting with a web service, if you whisper somebody something against TOS that can be used against you, but when it comes to them messing up, there’s nothing anyone can do about it. The fact that some affected players were compensated and the rest of us were told to shove it, shows you exactly how much they care
i did not receive the correct item level it was a 389 chest from my cache and i didnt get anything new either

I got the curio and created a ticket. They close it saying, whelp. I re-open the ticket and will continue to do so until they fix it or ban me
Well I submitted my feedback. Maybe I’ll be back when TWW is out but blizzard really rubs me the wrong way
Exact same reply I got. They don’t care, in their eyes majority of the players affected got what they wanted.
I haven’t logged on I a few days but I don’t want to play my hunter because I just feel like I wasted so much time.
Might play some other toons and see what they get. Hopefully not any more flamewarped curios.
Absolute rubbish how they can’t just send us boxes .
