Omg, seriously where is BWL?

Or you know…they could have kept it to server only ques so PVP guilds could exist again and communities could be built around premades and rivalries could ensue. Like you know…what made classic fun.

Yeah, most likely, but I was basing it on the raid lock schedule.

You’re right about clear times. PServer guilds and guilds made of heroic and mythic retail raiders will fly through it. But people will still farm MC/ony for elusive drops, TF and for fun. It’ll just give people more to do. Also remeber the 20 man’s have a 3 day lockout. Plus your casual and less skilled guilds will take time to clear BWL. Believe it or not there are still players progressing in MC.

And we’ll be getting a raid every 5-6 months, if we’re farming nothing but MC/ony for a year people will quit. 5-6 months has been standard for a raid tier for years, in see no reason why blizz would deviate from that.

I checked under the couch and in between the seat cushions and couldn’t find it. Sorry. I did find a nickel though.

No one is asking for that, but I do think they’re moving too slowly. And some communication would be nice for their customers.

That’s where you’re wrong. Blizzard HOPES they ain’t quitting, but I suspect many will. And that’s the risk they’re taking.

Me for example. I’d like to play some more content, sure, but not if I have to continue to pay a sub fee for months while doing nothing in the meantime. Raid logging isn’t my thing. I recognize I might be a small minority, but I suspect I’m not the ONLY person who isn’t crazy about paying for a game they’re bored with.

Blizzard is gambling with this strategy. I believe it to be a bad gamble.

Except on most servers now you just wouldn’t pvp at all. Look at flamelash EU, all the alliance bailed. There’s less than 100 still there. Cross realm BG’s solved a real problem, however it highlights how bad the honor system really was.

Thanks for trying.

This. (I need 10 characters)

I don’t care for an early release but I still expect Blizzard to communicate with us their plan to distribute content.

4th of Feb. Bet

Exactly.

If they tell me they’ll release it in 6 months. That’s fine. I don’t agree with it, but it’s their choice.

But if they tell me nothing, I get frustrated.

They literally said:

"Blackwing Lair and Darkmoon Faire are coming in early 2020.

We’ll have an exact timestamp for this content unlock to share with you in early December."

Mention bwl and darkmoon, then immediately follow with ‘we’ll have an exact timestamp for this content unlock in early december’. If one follows basic rules of english compositon, “this content” would be referencing the content mentioned by name in the sentence that immediately proceeded it.

Totally agree. Seems simple to me.

But Activision is not handling anything with classic, only some of the old devs they brought back are handling the content. Activision may have had say in the server sizes of though given it saves them money.

Why did they start a new paragraph? Because it was a CLOSING STATEMENT ON THE TOPIC OF THE THREAD; CLASSIC CONTENT UNLOCKING IN DECEMBER.

Classic Content Unlocking in December

The TINY addendum about BWL was obviously put there to assure us that BWL was not far off in the future.

The CLOSING STATEMENT of that post IS NOT ABOUT THE SINGLE SENTENCE MENTIONING BWL.

This is BASIC, Highschool level English reading comprehension.

Here is the early December exact timestamp:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timestamp

A timestamp is a sequence of characters or encoded information identifying when a certain event occurred, usually giving date and time of day.

So they’ll have an exact timestamp for the content unlock that they’ve already told us was December 10th?

I get your reasoning, even though I disagree. But at the very least you should be able to understand why some people would interpret it this way.

Ok, fine. It’s possible you’re right. Though I still have doubts.

But at the very least, even if you are, It’s very easy to see why people would be confused. We deserve clarification. Instead, Blizzard is just watching us arguing with each other on the forums.

Why don’t they just tell us when? It’s ridiculous!

It’s (was) the holidays. Nothing happens during the holidays.

I’m not defending the poor communication and awful format of the post. I’m just letting people know exactly what it said.

Kaivax could have spent 10 seconds clarifying for the many confused people on this forum but he didn’t. It really does look like he doesn’t give a crap and just does his job for the paycheck.
