No Ion, Not Everyone Who Delves Wants to do M+

Your current rant about how all “delve players are extremely bad at the game” is not only false – for example, I know several skilled long-term players simply taking time off from mythic raids because they lack time and/or interest, and continue playing occasionally just to stay in contact – but is so laughably, easily, demonstrably false as to make the rest of your grandiose comments just… vapid drivel.

It means we can safely put you on ignore and miss absolutely nothing of value. Toodles.

It’s true in a general sense.

Not provably false.

And you’re a mythic raider even if you’re a retired one.

You don’t know that you are a minority. Just keep your opinion to yourself. Many Delve players hitting level 8 Delves do have powerful gear at that point. They overgear the Mythic+ entry point from M+2 to M+5 making M+ startup so easy if they are not dumb.

To me, making lowbie M+ accessible by getting welfare epics from Delves is a good move.

To me, the only issue is that M+7 is too hard for many players. Players equipped with max’d out Delves gear cant easily pass M+7 unless you are playing Meta Classes.

???

Sorry. WHAT?

M+ is not designed for people to be overgeared to do it, nothing is.

Zerging comes from StarCraft, where the entire strategy of the zerg, is to intentionally rush development in the beginning and instead of doing traditional development of the base, mass produce basic infantry mobs as a purposeful method of overwhelming the other factions who take longer to build up. It’s not haphazard, it’s not disorganized, it’s simply focused on speed as a strategy.

Overgeared on M+ lowbie levels for easy startup. Yup, it wont be easy for long when he climbs up.

It is against any competent player because zerging means you immediately fall behind in tech and eco if the initial push fails. Most of the other races have ways to prevent a ling rush simply through building at the choke point.

And this is a positive, how?

And you’re complaining about +7s, the right play is… actually, not have delves enable people to overgear m+.

Makes lower m+ unappealing, and doesn’t set them up for success in 7s.

You could say the same for people that geared up normal raids.

Honestly, the only way to enforce people to do lower level m+ is to make it a requirement for higher level ones. Other than that, the most you can to is provide more appealing rewards or just deal with the fact that there are multiple sources of gear out there.

Normal raids are harder than m+.

If you say so.

I am not complaining. I said +7 is too hard for many which is fine for me. I don’t have one yet becoz of limited playtime but I will have it done soon.

That’s the only reason I play Delves filling up my Vault… to help me gear up either for M+ or Raid. If it doesnt give gear, Delves would be something I don’t want to do like Torghast. In Torghast, I just get my Legendary and never return to it again. On Delves, it’s the easiest way to get a Hero gear which is better than Champion gear. It keeps me busy as it is very easy to accomplish than M+7.

I don’t think Blizzard should force players to run low M+ for gear in higher M+. There’s nothing wrong with players using delve gear in M+. The problem is that players had to run a +6 for a 40% chance to match the guaranteed item from a soloable delve that could be completed in as little as 10 minutes. It was just how much easier and faster it was to get the delve gear. If M+ had a level closer to the challenge of a T8 delves, more players would have chosen low M+ instead for gearing.

And why would gearing up from raid or m+ not be a better alternative? Why do you want a set of undesirable tasks like delves?

Everyone knows in a T8 you can have a disco party in the boss room at the end of the Delve with your friends. And then you can practically AFK to victory on the boss while sharing memes in Discord and laughing.

What’s not to love?

Oh and I guess they buffed Delves cause now T11 will give some gilded crests to the elite few that can do them.

M+ and Raid is the better alternative if I have play time.

I had no playtime and still able to gear up to full 619 just with easy Delves. When I got a play time, I did M+. If I have playtime, I would do M+ and Delves together to get me to 626 with all Hero gear.

I just climbed up from 619 to 624 these holidays. I am undesirable for +7 right now becoz I was a little bit behind on M+ climb. But I am wanted from +4 to +6 which I have farmed lately that got me to 624. I just completed +6 on all dungeons and now poised to start pushing to +7.

Delves is becoming undesirable tasks as I climb from 619 to 626. At 626, Delves would be useless on me. For now, it gives a chance for me to get Hero gear on Vault. But I should start +7 now so it starts dropping me Hero gear.

I am good. Delves helped me climbed up. Why did I do it? Becoz it’s so easy… free welfare epics.

When is Gilded Crests going to drop on Delves 11? How many would it drop per run? Just 2? Delves 8 was the default but I am currently doing Delves 9. I never climbed up higher becoz there’s no point. It seems I should start climbing to Delves 11. Delves 9 is a faceroll to me right now.

Not particularly sympathetic to the argument “I have no time to play, so stuff should be easier/ quicker.”

That’s not an argument for delves to exist as they do in their current state, but more of an argument for gear to be removed, or for M+ and raid to drop more loot.

21 Gilded Crests per week. That is slow but better than nothing. It’s useless if you can hit M+7 and up. (+7 drops Hero gear. +8 drops gilded crests).

But if you cant access M+7, Delves is everything to gear up all the way to 626. 619 and Hero gear from Vault. You need Hero gear to upgrade it to 626 with Gilded Crest which is equal to 45 Rune Crests right now.
