I don’t feel that there’s no point in doing anything below +7. I feel that there’s no point in doing anything relating to M+.
Delves were marketed as the solo-friendly adventure. Ya know, for those of us who don’t care for M+ group content.
Trying to tie Delves to M+ is a bad idea and a huge turnoff. Not all of us care to do M+ after Delves.
A better solution is to make T9, 10, and 11 give better rewards so that those out there who feel like they have to do M+ to get better gear, can instead get that better gear in Delves.
But for the rest of us who love to Delve and want nothing to do with M+? Don’t screw that up for us.
Edited…cause I’m silly. But yeah, that’s a good idea. the changes to M+ have been bad so they shouldn’t nerf delves to bring them inline. Explanding delves is a better idea.
But hey, now that they made M+ less accessible/rewarding to a lot of players, the might as well do the same with Delves. They obviously lack understanding of what keeps us around.
The core of the problem is why would someone run a M+ 6 when a T8 delve is significantly easier, gives better loot, and the loot has a 100% chance to drop? M+ basically starts at 7 now because delves are just superior way to get gear and that is a problem.
I am OK with doing delves, but I have zero interest in doing M+.
I don’t mind that M+ stays what it is and caters to the crowd that likes it, but I don’t want them to be confused and think that I want to do any mythic content.
But a level 8 delve doesn’t give better loot. Level 8 delves drop 603 champion gear at end of dungeon IF YOU USE A KEY. A +6 drops 606 gear and is infinitely farmable.
The bigger argument is the Vault loot rewards. The level 8 delve vault gives hero track gear while the +6 rewards champion. But blizz could just let 6s give hero track as well…problem solved.
Mythic+ as it stands right now is garbage and I don’t want to have to do it for the gear to help with raiding progression, delves offered an amazing alternative and I hope it stays that way.
If they think there is an issue with lower mythic+ and people making the jump then it’s not delves or the gear they offer that is the issue, it’s mythic+ that needs a major overhaul from the top down.
Delve’s have okay Item levels, but the actual gear is very limited, and you cannot get any of the “Best in Slot” trinkets out of Delves. All the gear drops you get are basically all the exact same stats, you don’t get that much variety.
PEople are far too focused on Item levels, I will never personally go from Delves to Mythic+ Because Mythic+ is a cesspool of toxicity and selfish players I have no interest in engaging in.
I refuse to step into the cesspool that is M+, and the lack of rewards for doing higher than +8 Delves, which are already plenty hard, means I’ve stopped doing them as well. Considering Tier 9, 10, and 11 recommend gear that you cannot obtain by doing the previous tier (outside of the vault), this is a major fail.
Delves need a bit more time in the oven to rethink their progression, and to stop comparing them to M+.
I’m already on the fence on if I renew my sub next month, nerfing Delves for the sake of the egos of M+ people would certainly make the decision easier.
It’s the kind of problem that isn’t my problem, frankly.
Delves were offered out to people not as a supplement to get people ready for M+, but as an alternative gearing path for people who didn’t like and didn’t want to do M+. Quite a lot of people hate M+ and don’t want to do them, and Delves were supposed to be a new solo pillar, a whole alternative path.
Ion is allergic to players who aren’t in dedicated guilds or at least a very strong core of likeminded associates having anything nice, though.
Like, what is with this contingent of players who gives zero consideration of the content they play, nor whether they enjoy it, and focus solely and only on the item level obtained.
They could make Mythic+ drop myth gear - I aint gonna do it, I hate the timer, I hate the sprint, and it’s a VIDEO GAME! If the only content left worth doing is Mythic+, I’ll unsubscribe and play a video game where at least I know I am having fun in my free time while playing a GAME.
