I suspect this issue is driving many to quit, and not endure the 30 day punishment.
It’s entirely possible.
The devs are siege tank operators.
Collateral is their favorite kind of damage.
On Lost Ark, you had to make a purchase in the shop, to enable trading, maybe this is the next step at WOW?
I was requested to post here, so posting a link to the thread I created regarding how I cannot access trade or AH as well. My account is 20 years old, and I’m getting account restriction. It’s dumb how I can’t purchase ANYTHING on the AH.
With later resubs an issue maybe. Some may come back in december.
They start that 30 day clock…weeks into this.
I hate sound jaded but the AH issues I foresee coming, take root now. SoD showed lacking gdkp…people will still run up AH prices lol.
These dudes aren’t even getting free bags to store crap. Server I am on you buy the thread, take the looted farbrics and the tailors don’t even ask for tips. NIce if they get them, but what they get is power level crafting otherwise.
Vendor price for every bag…that is wah the 30 days pay. I feel for them. I had guildies or randoms in brill/UC make my mine.
It’s intentional. Here’s the copy from my ticket:
“Meeting Game Time Requirement: Ensure your account has consumed at least 30 days of game time since 2017. If not, you’ll need to wait until this condition is fulfilled to access trading, mailing gold, and using the auction house.”
30 days?! That’s absurd. A few days would have been enough. If blizzard can’t detect bots within a few days then there is no hope for this game.
The funny bit is I’d see alot of their bots are warmed up from SoD/cata and here now since probably a better market. That cata bot lost out to token gold or the fact most people if they wanted money…we had a long as hell first phase. Lots of time to run daily crap and legacy spam.
its here now…for the new fresh market. Its not alone either.
Browse AH → Find cheap item I want → click buyout → Game says: "LOL NO YOU MIGHT BE A BOT "
small company, couldn’t came up with any solutions to combat bots so they had punish new accounts, can’t even send stuff to my own characters, what a joke
YUP I’M OUT.
My bags and 50g worth of bank space are all filled up and i can’t pick up the quest items I need to continure without deleting stuff i need.
I even listed items on the AH and insta canceled them to have them mailed to me, but i’m not going to do that every single time my bags are full that would add days and days onto my leveling.
trash devs
deleting both my blizz accounts
You can still trade on the ah but you can’t mail your alt
none of that makes sense
just quit like i am and unsub . i got to 36 and i eventually just could not play because of bag space.
I had 4 10 slotters and 3 10 slotters in the bank.
I listed and canceled items on ah to have them mailed to me for extra space.
but if you’re out in the middle of nowhere like shimmering flats you can’t do any of that stuff and you wont get quest items in your bag.
pathetic devs
You can’t post if you dont have game time.
the restrictions are purely trade, mail and buying on ah because bots or some stupid reason.
I got all the way up to the top CS and they wont remove it or acknowledge THOUSANDS OR 10S OF THOUSANDS are unable to play because of it.
A tiny fraction of new / returning players will suffer through the unbearable 30 day restrictions. The rest will quit like Freshhcwhen.
Blizzard clearly doesn’t care about the new player experience with restrictions like these in place.
fortunately one guild I am in there are a few who understand the issue so I literally reduced to doing the Popeye character wimpy’s plea, for a hamburger today I will gladly pay you back Tuesday, four weeks away but Tuesday.
I had not considered that trick of posting auctions to store stuff in mail.
Another day being ripped off by Blizzard , apparently its okay for gold sellers to sell me gold and items than for me to use the AH or trade my coins to other players for goods and services.
Yes, blizzard, that is exactly what the current rules encourage. You locked down real players in favor of RMT sales as those groups tend to have many accounts and never impacted by such restrictions
I just made a new thread after being recommended to do so by a couple GMs who were very helpful and also mildly sympathetic to my case. I really hope Blizzard can do good and the devs take notice.
Hi, I am also having this issue, and have made the thread:
