This is silly. I’ve had my account since launch, came back several times but its been a long time since I’ve played. Got talked into it by some friends because of a fresh anniversary classic server and this is hitting my account?
I was literally playing 2-3 days after the first servers came up, got tons of other blizzard products on this account (D2R, D3, D4, OW with a decent bit spent on it, SC2, and spent a few hundo in hearthstone.
Do they really think this is a gold seller/bot account? It isn’t like the account hasn’t been active, I just haven’t been playing WOW.

It’s not silly. It is dumb and lazy. They could literally have 1 guy catch and ban bots easy. Make his pay based on ban rate of bots! They just want automated systems which punish innocents without paying any salary.
5yr old account. Phone and auth attached. Bot are not going to attach 100’s of actual phones to accounts. Pretty sure burner dollar store phones dont work. So, make that a condition to bypass this stupid restraint.
Can’t even trade conjured water or food to party members and they get pissed. I have been kicked from group a couple times now thinking I just didn’t want to trade.
Yes, it has to do with having a paid, not token subscription during a certain amount of time. I came back only a little over a month ago, have a standard subscription, and was also not restricted by this. I believe it is a full month wait for them to get the ability to trade/auction/etc after a paid, and not token month.
A lot of players said they wanted a completely fresh game start with the fresh servers. Starting a new account would put them under this restriction.
Once again encouraging you all to report this fraudulent practice by Blizzard to the FTC and your state authorities. It takes only a few minutes to do so. At this point I have no confidence they care at all about what we say here.
Don’t listen to the people who are like ‘lol good luck hiring a lawyer and suing Blizzard’ etc etc you don’t have to do all that, literally just have to submit 2 web forms 1 for the FTC and 1 for your states DOJ Consumer protection dept (which the FTC will link for you after submitting a report there afaik).
You get laughed at just for posting that you’re frustrated by undisclosed restrictions here so… Literally nothing changes by submitting a report other than potentially being able to build external pressure on Bliz… Seems like a no brainer to me.
Tells me that a bunch of wow players are neck beards with no empathy or self awareness who will simp for daddy Bliz. I didn’t need their mockery here to know as much.
You’re demonizing people for not indulging your delusions that some criminal conspiracy is occurring over a few specific restrictions in a video game that you can fully play and interact with people otherwise and you trying to incite others into legal action, not something to be taken or mocked lightly.
We didn’t opt into self found and weren’t warned. Can you read? Do you know what a false equivalence is? Do you enjoy getting screwed over by corporations and are willing to let our consumer protections fall by the wayside?
P.s. I have some snake oil that cures all ailments for the low price of $100 would you like some?
