I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I know it’s a rule but despite mucho googling and searching the forums and reading the CoC (which unless im blind read it a couple times) cannot for the life of me find the specific wording that says that naming and shaming is not allowed.
I have seen dozens of threads deleted because of it, posts edited by mods because of it, but I just can’t find… IT

I don’t think there’s specifically a “Naming and Shaming” Policy, but naming and shaming falls under:
Do I need to cut someone for you? I will. Did you see my new fist weapons?

Im talking to someone who claims it’s not a thing even though it’s been a thing for years, but I cannot find the exact specific literal post/wording for it, and without it the person is unlikely to believe me, it seems.

The blurb posted in here about the harassment policy covers the naming issue decently, if still using Blizzards trademark vague language.
Naming and shaming fall under Harassment.
Being a jerk is against the ToS.
Right and I can intuit that interpretation, but I am looking for any example of EVER any blue poster specifically saying exactly that:
“naming and shaming bad”
Even referring to someone who is being a jerk as a jerk is against the ToS.
I got a suspension once for doing that, and it wasn’t even particularly colorful language.
Very annoying.

(2007 Blue Post - Topic here is swapping to alts with the intent of trolling, but it pretty directly calls naming and shaming out as rule breaking behavior)
If they don’t believe you tell them to make a post belittling someone by name, heck they can insult my character by name.
Since they don’t think it’s a real thing they shouldn’t be afraid
Then that case 100% of everyone here is guilty. This includes Blizzard devs and Ion.
