My account was banned without a reason or warning, please help

Possibly played on a computer that had nefarious software on it, either intentionally or not, and Warden has detected something?

Whoa. It’s one thing to have one of your WoW accounts closed – You must’ve done something really bad to have your entire battle.net account nuked.

Was that all that was in the e-mail? I noticed there isn’t a reason for account closure, like ‘Manipulation of Game Economy’ or something like that…

Still, considering you received this:

[Emphasis mine]

Your prospects for getting your battle.net account back are very, very grim – if they’re already at the point where ‘The matter is closed, further tickets will not receive a response’, your account is basically done. All you can really do is create a new battle.net account at this point and try to keep a clean slate.

yes those were the entire 2 emails and no i do not let people use my account AT ALL just me, i just made this account 2 months ago thats why this is a mistake all ive done is quest to level up, im barely 1200 io from pushing keys and i have almost no gold or items this is all wrong,
i havent visited brazil since i created this account and when i do visit its only like once every year or 2 and its still only on my personal laptop

Blizzard should really look further into situations like this for people who truly didn’t do anything wrong and are getting their account banned for no reason I have been seen this situation come up a lot recently.

The only thing I could possibly think is that this may not have to do with anything done in WoW. Reading the two emails, there’s nothing World of Warcraft specific, and it’s for the whole Battle.net account.

OP, do you have any other games under your Battle.net? Any other games that you might let someone else play with your log-ion info?

hey scrinshee,
no the only blizzard game i play and love is world of warcraft and i never share my account with anyone, i barely even have any programs on my pc

Well I got good news for you, they actually do look into these type of situations. That is what the appeal process is for.

Alright, just thought it was worth a shot.

Also, while I don’t want to get your hopes up, we did have something recent here that MAY be similar to yours. Normally, I wouldn’t encourage people to continue to appeal after getting that “final” email, but you may want to in this case.

There is a Sleepy Panda on the prowl right now, so she may be able to shed some kind of light on this as well.

I’d put in another appeal.

Did you ever got banned ? I did and all the answers for an appeal are basically the same AI copy paste responses. that’s why i said that they should investigate properly because there are a few people who get banned who really aren’t breaking the rules.

I will right now but it’s just frustrating being treated like this, My account is only 2 months old and then I’m banned after accepting an EULA update it makes no sense.

Never, not once in all of my 19 years of playing this game.

I follow the rules, do not participate in shady practices, and do not take advantage of exploits. And like me, there are plenty of people out there that have never gotten an account action applied upon them. And if they ever did, I know that they have an option to ask Blizzard to review their case and I trust that it will be reverted.

Now, I am not saying Blizzard is perfect and that they don’t make mistakes. But we are all human and it will happen. That is why there is an appeal process, so that another human being can review the case and come with their own conclusions.

Also, even though you don’t like them, those responses aren’t AI generated. A real human being read the ticket and choose an appropriate template answer. This way their communications are uniform and clear.

Templates are used to expediate answers, but each appeal is done manually

I understand and kudos to you my friend with all respect.
but let me ask if it WERE you who was banned for no good reason after having an account for only 2 months how would you feel.
i understand that you all can only assume. but when it happens to you it is frustrating is all.

I would do what Orlyia is telling you to do. Open another ticket for an appeal. Your case seems strange, a whole Battle.net account closure is rare.

i just resubmitted the appeal now. it’s pending. And that’s whats crazy to me i see alot of people saying this is rare or theyve never seen this before and i can promise you in the 2 months this account has existed i’ve not done anything shady unless i was hacked and i dont know it but im not missing anything form my character

Which account did you put this in under? Do you have a ticket number?

Thank you, I see it now. It wasn’t attached to the account - but it is now.

My thoughts on the possibilities, which admittedly are pure speculation, are: 1) the OP is innocent and a mistake was made - basically the wrong account got actioned. 2) the OP is innocent and what happened that caused the actions happened while the account was compromised. Or 3) the OP did something unknowingly. I think 3 is highly unlikely in this case, but you never know.
