hey vralok
no i don’t offer nor participate in any kind of services for gold or money.
Ok then, I have no idea. That is a major thing that bans have been happening for lately, because gold sellers have started using GDKP runs to launder money, and Blizzard has started cracking down.
You should have received an email with, at least, vague details of what rules may have been violated.
i just use curseforge addons and i have a ducky keyboard and logitech g600 mmo mouse on an alienware laptop
Another thing that’s important is if the account action is a suspension or an actual ban. They don’t mean the same thing. If you got an email stating the account was closed, then it would be considered a ban. If it’s just a suspension, then it wouldn’t be a ban.
Typically, the severity of an account action can be determined depending on whether it is a suspension or an account closure.
even the link in the email was a dead link to a 404 error page with a murloc
i dont even know what a GDKP is tbh
Have you ever used the keyboard/mouse software to do things like add delays or repeats to macros? I’m really just speculating here since I have no idea if you’ve ever done that or not. But some people don’t realize that that is the same thing as botting.
this was the original email
Greetings,
Account:
Action(s) Taken: Account Closure
The Battle.net account has violated the Blizzard End User License Agreement. As a result, this Battle.net Account and all associated game accounts have been permanently closed. As the owner of this account, you are responsible for all actions associated with it. We will only overturn penalties if there is evidence of a compromised account. Read our Account Hacked article for details: https://battle.net/support/article/9852
Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to terminate access for conduct of this nature, with or without warning, as noted in the Blizzard End User License Agreement: https://www.blizzard.com/company/legal/eula.html.
Regards,
Blizzard Entertainment
no i only use macros in the wow client menu in options for my trinkets
Ok then I have no idea and there really isn’t anything to do but to continue to use the appeal process. Sometimes if the blues are around I have seen them provide a little bit of additional clarity as a courtesy but that’s not really their job.
Are you sure you weren’t compromised?
Please edit your email out!
Being it was an entire Battle.net Account Closure, which is something they don’t do on a whim, you’re going to have to try to continue to appeal.
Right now, the Support Forum Agents have gone home for the night, so you won’t get any additional information right now (if the blues can even say anything given the type of account action it is).
thank you i didnt realize i left it in there
Oh yeah I just noticed that myself…I have never seen an entire battle.net account and all associated game accounts closed. That’s a first…something very very very serious must’ve happened. That said, the types of activities gold sellers would do when they compromise accounts would definitely fall into that category. Let’s just say they don’t compromise accounts to do nice things with them.
thats why i feel this is a mistake or something because if anything happened it was over night while i slept then because at 1130 i found out i was banned and i got an email at 11am on the dot right after a license agreement update happened and i dont participate in anythinggg like that stuff thats why it seems strange
Did you notice anything odd, like your characters moved around, or gear/items/gold missing? I guess it’s possible that something might’ve happened while you were offline and it was already banned by the time you noticed.
tbh i have such few item already and like 30k gold from leveling that i dont think so but i do stay logged in just hanging out in valdrakken alot by the tower and auction house on youtube and listening to music and i read something about people staying near the auction house or something being considered bots or something
Nope, that’s not the type of thing they’re looking for to spot botting. Lots of people afk. I can’t count the number of times I fell asleep and woke up to a login screen. They don’t “look for bots” by looking for things in-game, they go by logs. Besides, botting would just result in a WOW account closure, not the entire battle.net account. This is something much worse.
i know all anyone can do is speculate because noone knows me personally but i just hope that this can reach someone who can make a difference and help me get my account back its just so frustrating to pay and put so much effort into something you love and have it ripped away for nothing and have to pay all this money all over again to start from zero its so messed up
Botom line is posting here wont escalate or get a better outcome on your ticket they dont take players cries on this forum thats what tickets are for LOGS are LOGS either they back up the findings or they dont there are NO GMS here.
It’s possible when the SFA’s arrive tomorrow morning, that they can provide some additional clarity. But in the meantime all you can do is use the appeal system (and they aren’t involved in that anyway, all they even might be able to do is provide a little additional info).
I’ve been here since 2006 with some breaks (one for over 4 years)…and I have never seen any situation that closed an entire battle.net account before. That’s a new one. But anyway, all we can do is speculate since we have no information.
I just noticed in one of your replies above, you mentioned playing in Brazil while visiting family. You don’t by any chance let any family or friends in Brazil access your account, do you? I ask because account sharing (letting anyone other than yourself) access your account is against the rules and can cause immediate account closure. Especially if the account logins from the US and then Brazil happen faster than humanly possible to travel.
