My internet connection is stable, I have access to every website just fine and the only thing that disconnects me is wow
Same happens for me, Ive been having latency issues on peak hours for 2 weeks now, but today its just unplayable, everything else works okay.
It doesn’t make sense, it only happens with blizzard, everything else is completely fine
Thank you all for the continued reports! Due to the wide-ranging impact of these connectivity issues, if you are experiencing high latency and/or disconnects while connecting from a Latin America / South America ISP, please provide a WinMTR network test so that we can further investigate the problem. Here are the instructions:
- Download the tool from this page
- Enter the game IP into the “host” field. The IP address for our games are listed on the winMTR instructions page
- Start the test and play the affected game for at least 15 minutes. Ensure the problem (disconnect or high latency) occurs while the WinMTR tool is running.
- After recording the problem data, click “export text” and save the winMTR file in an easy to find location.
- Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the winMTR. It’ll look like this:
WinMTR goes here
If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).

Started game, started WinMTR until i got abruptly disconnected.
My WinMTR: https:// pastebin. com/145J5W7Q
So searching the forums for that host i found this:
Quarantine + No WoW = Me watching netflix … but i want to play wow
Its seems that host :
Location of IP address 137.221.69.33
Country Netherlands (NL) (99% confidence)
Continent Europe (EU)
Time zone Europe/Amsterdam
ISP Blizzard Entertainment, Inc
Organizatio nBlizzard Entertainment, Inc
User type residential
Autonomous system number (ASN) 57976
Autonomous system organization Blizzard Entertainment, Inc
Anonymous proxy? No
Satellite provider? No
Latitude 52.382401
Longitude 4.899500
Radius 200 km
So after that .Chicago2.Level3.net which is inside your network already… its NOT my ISP … its 100% YOUR NETWORK/Routing.
Didnt have disconnects this time, just some pretty heavy spikes. Now it seems to be fine.

Here’s the results of the test. I expected to get a disconnection but it didn’t happen during the test.
Edit: Been in a raid for 40 minutes and haven’t disconnected yet.

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider
Ran new tests today
Only posting now the central ip ones, since they are the only ones which I have packet loss:
Morning test, 7 am realm time:
https://pastebin.com/CpZRH0EN
This morning I had the lowest ms in a month, 167 home and world. Stable as a table. That changed later today, around 1pm realm time
https://pastebin.com/Lp3038EK
The path is identical, but I notice that i got some packet loss already in the beginning of the path. I disconnected around 7-10 min or so on this WinMTR, my internet went down.
After it came back I ran 2 more and on the second one I got another internet connection problem.
https://pastebin.com/mMkrTi6H
https://pastebin.com/SdadjX5K
Ok, I’m from Sao Paulo, Brazil and noticed that this disconnection issue stared late nite yesterday. At first, I thought it could be an add-on or an incorrect configuration, but after all the feedback from this ticket, it seems to be a problem from Telefonica / Vivo / (insert your IPS here).
I’m doing a test right now; I’m usina a VPN to connect to New York, and from there, to Blizzard servers. Connection seems way more stable. If you could, try a VPN connection, just to make sure it’s not a lucky guess from my part.
Hope that this could help some fellow players.
P.S. 178ms of latency. Almost the same without a VPN
Cheers
Same issue here. Having +4000 ms when I normally have only 200 at max.
Playing from Argentina on Dalaran
Issue got fixed for me - my tryout went well!
Whatever you guys did to fix it worked. Thanks!
2 posts were split to a new topic: Mirwa - Connection Issues (Argentina/Cablevision)
Problem starts right after the home network with a small 1% loss, normally I’d expect rare cases of rubberbanding with such a small amount of losses.
Some of the nodes are hidden by their providers, but the problem gets significantly worse as it travels through these “Peer Networks” - See my post above this one for more info on that.
Your ISP would only be able to address the 1% losses on their network. The other, bigger, loss would have to be addressed by their peer networks.
