M+ unfun this season

S1’s are generally rough because the content is new and the stats are generally lower than what we expect. But this pool is a bit rough and really anti-melee. I got KSM so I’m not stressing over it anymore, I want KSH but that might not happen now until way later.

Last boss of Ara Kara is completely anti melee. You have to stay in with the green cone otherwise you can’t hit the boss.

everything which makes m+ pug(able) is now removed or is only for 1%

  • stuns doesnt interrupt needs coordination with limited interrupts. never pick a priest for your group
  • massive aoe damage needs coordination with healer cds and personals
  • only 10s for mythic item level and upgrade crests
  • only curse/poison dispell like 99% is curse and some poison
  • high crafting and consumable prices means less gear/dps

imo rio, run key number and gear is more important than ever. dont pick a newbe for your keys and you are fine. its not possible/fun to carry players.

so basically blizzard killed m+ with tww.
i will do the 2500 ksh achievement and then move on to delves journal progress

It feels like the content caters to the extremes.

Super easy content that over rewards.

Or content that’s gone so far over the top with mechanics and visual bloat that it’s not fun.

And when it comes to progression the super easy content gets you to a “no gears land” where it’s suddenly +9 or bust.

This is what I miss and what has pushed SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many players away from M+

In BfA it was pretty easy to carry a couple of noob guild mates through a +10 and max their weekly vault. Which in today’s dungeons would be like a +2 or +3 with extra affixes. Didn’t always time it but was still fun and doable. But it was essentially like “anyone want to do a +2 to Max their vault?”

Now you need the equivalent of 8 +19 BfA dungeons to max someones vault.

And they’re not that much fun now. Just stressful and there’s no way you’re carrying casual players with no specific dungeon experience through that.

What I find interesting about this trip down memory lane is, 80 likes and not a lot of the knee jerk push back you normally see in critical posts. And I don’t recognize any of the names in the like list. Like maybe they don’t play anymore.

And the game has since continued further down this path.

What a great summary of my own feelings.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing brewmaster in s2/3 of DF because I could really learn the dungeons in the lower keys.

Season 4 was kind of meh but the bullion letting you get solid gear helped.

I get it that there were a lot of useless key levels in the old system, but they didn’t have to just get rid of them. Just keep the breaking point levels and get rid of the ones in between.

I don’t understand why you think you are entitled to tell other people what they may or may not enjoy.

I’m just going to park in the 4-6 range and chill. M+ being ultra sweaty just doesn’t appeal to me anymore. Maybe like 8 years ago but not now. It misses that challenge to fun mark and makes keys a grind over fun.

Mists shouldn’t be bad but I agree most of the TWW dungeons are too packed with annoying mechanics

I’m feeling the same but just as a healer.

Hmm, I’m not sure I see how being able to give PI would equate not having to deal with interrupting a mechanic. Not kicking can mean group/raid death, 1 person attacking faster wouldn’t save that. It has to be something else.

You also don’t just “give it away,” anyone with a brain just takes Twins and then both players get it xD

Nah. This season is great. You need to get good.

Blizz needs to throw out some emergency nerfs fast, feels like a lot of people are about to throw in the towel for this season until something’s done

I’m enjoying this season. I really like that it’s an actual challenge like it used to be. M+ started to become too easy and wasn’t good for end-game balance with Raids. Problem is people are trying to rush into high keys without fully understanding the dungeons, mechanics, and nuances.

season completely blows. idk what happened… such a bummer.

3 days left with auto pay off. I won’t be quitting forever but i think microsoft needs some time to figure out how to run this game…

The devs wanted to squeeze players for more money.

They got greedy and wanted to put their foot down with making people feel pressured to buy tokens to get gold to craft those 636s instead of earning them legitimately through grinding content.

The problem is this works and this is the reason people felt the need to /spit emote microtransaction buyers. Because if the playerbase doesn’t police itself on card swipe p2w’ing them blizzard will take it as a signal to ruin the game more for more money squeezing.

haha such a lie xD have you played legion m+ 10s for max loot. now its 20 or new 10. m+ was easy in every addon except this

Yes, they’re different spells. At the start of DF, Blizzard outright said that because of PI priest had their knockback removed and it was pretty heavily implied it’s also why the healing specs don’t have access to a kick.
