M+ unfun this season

When I first saw the dungeon pool announced, that was my first sign that I’d not enjoy season 1. I finally caved and bought the expansion a couple days before release because my friends were hyped, but this has to be one of the worst dungeon pools of M+ on a fun-scale I’ve ever experienced. That’s obviously subjective, but really there aren’t any returning dungeons this time around that I thought were fun back in the day, nor any of the new dungeons in the pool aside from Ara-Kara that I enjoy.

I look forward to The Priory and Cinderbrew, and maaaaybe Rookery, but this first group of dungeons is just boring af. I don’t mind that they are challenging, they just aren’t fun.

I was just talking about how much more I preferred s3 of DF to this or many seasons of m+, but that was primarily because of the gearing process difference. That’s a whole other conversation, but this xpac I don’t even feel like playing an alt with how much of a grind the road to gearing looks like. It’s as though they felt s3 DF was an overcompensation, and then they overcompensated in the complete other direction with TWW s1.

I’m confused. Necrotic Wake has the first and third boss which are just tons of unavoidable damage (the first boss is probably the first one that will one-shot a DPS with the targeted frontal for its key level this season). So when it comes to keys with low unavoidable damage, would still probably be mists.

And limited cc and the only healer without access to an interrupt, because…??? Pvp I guess? lol Just make it pve only, I love priest but if they are going to make m+ this mechanic/stop/interrupt heavy I just feel like a burden playing a healing priest.

Same its easily my most run dungeon so far despite not dropping anything for bears. With the couple of nerfs in there I feel confident I can push that to a +10 this week.

Its terrible, got my 2k and im done til next season unless they heavily nerf this trash. It feels worse than SL season 1. Also after finally fixing gear progression to be fairly accessible to the higher end casuals they destroyed it by increasing the gear progression wall way higher.

They could accomplish so much by just letting disrupts – stuns, incaps, general hard CC – actually interrupt the mobs again. Now you have to hope your interrupt input doesn’t get sniped by CC someone threw out at the same time, and if it does well GG, your group is down an interrupt for a spell that could kill, and that kill could end up in a wipe depending on who it hits.

That and challenger’s peril are, I think, the primary ingredients of this disgusting sweat soup. And it certainly doesn’t help having both fort and tyran up on the only key level that really matters.

I am very disappointed with the m+ changes but I will admit the more I play the more it’s starting to be okay… Though I do feel like I will never catch up to people that got 10 keys on their first week unless I raid mythic raids… which I do believe will eventually cause me to stop playing. Because who wants to be weeks behind everyone else due to new reward system?

m+ is unfun every season, but that’s just my opinion man.

If you choose to believe Blizzard, the reason is PI. Congrats on getting a disgustingly weak utility kit just to give your buff away to someone else every single time, lmao.

Im done pushing io. Got KSH. I have no intentions of trying to push for 3K just so I can say I did.

I need boots and a ring from NW, but after that i’ll just be doing 8 mists 10s on Tuesdays for vault and that’ll be it.

They gave us giveaway Delves gear that allowed us to face M+. It’s just the 2nd week. Is M+ not fun becoz you cant beat M+10 in first 3 weeks?

I dont want to become like them. Beat M+10 in a week? What are you gonna do for the rest of the week? It’s just the 2nd week. You are not a Mythic Raider anyway.

You do you. I do me.

This thread implies that M+ was fun at some point.

This thread is a lie.

Those veterans who said they were left behind, M+ would be bad for them, becoz those who would carry them has left them behind. And they cant climb keys on their own.

it will be infinitely worse for you.

ur already left behind

in a month better to just wait for next expansion

even a new patch wont help it just gets worse for a number of reasons

I feel the same way. I don’t really feel motivated to do anything this season. I’m not having fun. My friend keeps telling me how she’s progressing and how much fun she’s having with her guild, and I just can’t relate.

it seems like barely anyone is playing… im not pushing very high yet… but at 6-8s it takes so long to recruit… sometimes no one even joins and i just quit.

its way way waaaaay worse then dragonflight. i feel like M+ was super popular in DF.

I happen to enjoy the current dungeon pool so its bummer.

I think its mixture of ppl not like the dungeons + delves taking a big chunk of the M+ playerbase.

Super wack… I’m not gonna quit but prolly will be picking up a diff game for a while.

2 to 6 keys have pretty much been eliminated by delves due to higher yield + lower cost. Combine this with the myth track rewards and lvl 4 crests coming from higher keys than in df and the incentive is very low to participate in m+. This might be a good thing for the game, lots of folks here violently hate the m+ crowd. Feels like there’s a billion people trying to claw their way into 9s only to get absolutely ground to dust when their skills/gear are inadequate.

It’s a bold bet on blizzard’s part. The content will be beatable eventually, ilvl will win out in this season where even the top end players have so much more room to grow power wise due to the long myth upgrade track. But whether people will just quit first out of frustration remains to be seen.

They got the first part right, over saturate delve participation via dispraportionately high rewards, but whether the casual and true solo crowds actually sustain an mmo long term remains to be seen.
