I’m an old RPer with a renewed spark to RP. I’ve recently arrived on this server after a sudden desire for RP, but my current issue is that I’m uncertain of how to find a guild for a lost, wandering Sin’dorei Knight.
Any advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

If you are familiar with Discord, I recommend checking out the Wyrmrest Community Project discord server as they have a Guild Directory you could browse through: Wyrmrest Community Project - Wyrmrest Accord - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)
The directory there includes summaries about what each guild is all about, so you can peek around until something catches your attention.

A good questions to ask yourself while you’re browsing is what kind of RP are you hoping to engage with? Adventures out in the world? Long-form campaigns with a group of players? Military themes? A little bit of everything?
Also consider your time zone and find a guild that’s most active in your hours of play. 
There are a few nice places to pick up walk up as well. The Wyrvern’s Tail in Org, Darkshire, and a few other places can be nice. But everything Tarscale said is 100% on the money too.

My response to that final question would be: I’m coming from the private server community. I become absolutely invested in most RP, but seem to find myself looking for more militaristic styles than anything.
Given that my avatar character for these forums rose from being a Dame/Knight of Stormwind/noblewoman of a Quel’dorei House to Knight-Champion of Stormwind (server phase was based on the House of Nobles era of Stormwind’s fallout), I was hoping to find my way into some form of Blood Elf societal/military guild with a similar concept.
I have checked out the Sunfury Battalion, so far, and that’s piqued my interest. My gratitude for the links and guidance!
