Two of my friends just experienced this as well. They were playing, all was fine, then they DCed. When they tried to log back online they received the error that their account information had changed. (One of them even has an authenticator).

Blizzard is doing some back end database work which tripped a flag on your account. That was a Blizzard quote in the post above. If you click it you can see the Blue posts in the same type threads from the past few hours. Early Monday everything will be down from 6am Pacific to around 12pm, including the Shop. I would guess whatever they are doing right now with the database is related to the work they are prepping for Monday.

I was afk at the time but the message was very specific and said that my Account Info had changed. It really threw me for a loop Vrak. I may idle to see if I can reproduce it. In any event however, if you can put a note on my account it’d be deeply appreciated. The information that I have at this moment is accurate and should be accurate until the year 3000 probably, unless something drastic happened to me. Edit: As an addendum. Thanks, it looks like it may be related to some work happening on the back-end. Nothing appears to be amiss and the result of some data migration. Sorry for the confusion.
