Koraks Revenge/AV of Olde Mount

Hi.

On ONE character (this one) I did the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement, earning 200 badges inside koraks revenge, and then getting the achievement granted.

However, I did NOT get the mount that’s supposed to come from this - Ram for Alliance, and Wolf for Horde.

I opened up a ticket in game as well.

Is anyone else having this issue? I did exactly what blue post said - do the achieve and badges on only ONE toon and mount will be given to you. But I didn’t get it.

Also: Blue post said there’s supposed to be a progress bar showing towards mount, but all it shows is Anima.

What is going on?

I did the same. No mount either. I know I did everything correct too. Hope they give us what they said they would

If we grind the achievement out now, will we retroactively be given the mount or wait until after the fix then do the grind, want to know before I go grinding it out then find out I have to do it again.

The achievement is account-wide, so 100 badges earned on one character and 100 on another will trigger the actual achievement. But the mount is not a reward for earning the account-wide achievement. The mount is awarded for earning 200 badges on the same character, and there should be a bar in the PvP tab to track it.

So, since the mount is not tied to the achievement, based on past similar situations, probably not. You will probably need to fill the bar with badges again.

This is probably best. In nearly every situation involving bugs, this is the safest way.

I can’t say for certain, Sendalor, it depends how the system is functioning. Though to be clear, as far as I’ve seen the achievement isn’t associated with earning the mount.

It should be by earning the 200 Timewarped Badges in Korrak’s Revenge version of AV.

200 badges, no mount, no progress bar to speak of in the pvp tab as it was in the past according to other players and screenshots

Just a quick update. It looks like a hotfix is in testing which will push the mount once you collect 200 Timewarped Badges in Korrak’s Revenge so if all goes well it should be pushed live soon.

Does this mean players who already completed it will get the mount automatically, or it’ll be fixed so future completions correctly award it?

I don’t know, Melaesia. As far as I know the system should be tracking, so if it is, you should hopefully get it once the fix goes in. If not you may need to pop into a Korrak’s Revenge AV.

It depends what the issue was exactly, which I don’t have any details on.

“Players who participate in Korrak’s Revenge and complete the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement can earn two mounts: the Stormpike Battle Ram (Alliance) and the Frostwolf Snarler (Horde).”

This is an open and shut case of blizzard telling us specifically what action to take to obtain something. This shouldn’t be changed after a few days of attempting to earn this achievement.

I just finished the achievement and did not get the mount. In fact when I had only 5 badges left and I zoned into my last Korrak’s Revenge, a bonus quest appeared with the mount as the reward but had my timewarped badge count at 0 for the quest. I’ve also opened a ticket for this.

I just got a new bonus objective for 10/200 TW badges collected.

  1. This does NOT follow the promotion materials Blizzard laid out. This is tied specifically to the achievement that many of us earned.
  2. This does NOT support prior progress (and unrepeatable quests, including ones that we spent Gold on like the Shredder Unit)

This is unacceptable for an event that takes 20 minutes to queue into and another half hour to play once.

You’ll want to post your thoughts either in the PvP forums or General Discussion. You keep talking to Vrak like they made all of these decisions. Vrak and the Blues posting on this forum are SFAs. Only the Devs made the calls that you’re taking issue with and Devs do not come to this forum, so you’re venting to the wrong person. You can also send a tweet @WarcraftDevs. At least the right people would see it then.

I’m talking to their representative who is fully able to pass customer experiences up the chain and in no way blamed them for any decisions.

No

They do not do that though, which is why I was trying to point you to places where your thoughts will be seen by the proper people. Posting here gets you nowhere because Customer Support is a forum for players to assist other players. It is not Customer Service. This is literally the only forum that data and feedback is not collected.

That is generally referring to feedback on support related topics. While all aspects of game development impact the support to one degree or another, as it does impact the player, that doesn’t specifically make it a support issue.

For feedback on the event and how these things are rewarded, it is best to submit feedback in an area that our Community Management and Game Developers can see it.
