Keeps telling me to update retail when trying to launch BC

we need are wow drug fix hurry up and fix your shi.t . some of us quit are jobs and are unemployed to play wow . i even skip sleep and baths who else is with me?

Thanks, i also found the download hidden near the ā€œbellā€.

There’s 5.5 hours before servers are expected to go live (and it’ll probably be delayed like usual), so I don’t see a need to uninstall/reinstall. It’s just having a weird hiccup right now, but you can’t play anyway so what does it matter?

The automatic redirecting to Retail is annoying, though.

didnt show for me…

I simply offered a solution to people who were having issues. There seems to be a varying/wide array of issues. Nobody is forcing you to uninstall/reinstall. It’s an OPTION

Yeah most people aren’t seeing/given that option.

stuck with 2.5.4.42800 . want update to 2.5.4.42801 and it dont see update

I had to delete cache folder in wow to fix it.

I figured it was just general update nonsense. After I tried to log in three times (the last time I logged out of battle.net and then logged back in) I decided to come in here and complain about journeyman riding prices.Check me out.

didnt work for me

i did what you said and it fixed it!

how do you back up your wtf and interface folder

Copy/paste on to your desktop.
Delete classic TBC completely from your computer.
uninstall the game too.
reinstall the game paste the WTF folder/interface folder back in the classic TBC folder

i dont even see a wtf folder

Yeah i’m not gonna delete the WTF folder…I would rather cancel my account than have to set up my interface again.

Fixed… Thanks a lot man for the solution.
Now just have to wait for the realms to get back up.

You only need Shadowlands to play Shadowlands content and level past 50. Take a deep breath and unwrap the tinfoil off of your head.

Do NOT uninstall the game. This will fix the problem:
