Anyone else getting this when trying to launch BC?

An updated version of World of Warcraft is available. Please launch the Battle.net app to download the update.

was going to play some classic, but looks like all my classic toons are in bc now and to play them i have to use this clone feature for 16$

Oh, and there are no updates available it looks like and it keeps giving me a 1 min timer to try and get the !@#$%^ it thinks it needs.

I hit “Play” and it switches the launcher over to retail. I try to launch from the wow folder and it does the same thing.

Im getting the same thing. Why on earth do I want to spend $40 bucks minimum for a game I don’t even play and have no desire to play? It’s like its forcing you to buy some upgrade (I already have shadowlands why would I buy it again) just to play TBC! Hopefully it will fix itself once they are done doing this maint time but Im going to be pretty annoyed if I have to buy the “updated version” of Shadowlands, which I will never play, just so I can play TBC! Please tell me that this will not be the case!

New update fixed it. And it brings to the realm page. I’m guessing servers will be up shortly

How do you fix this??? its happening to me as well.

It will be fixed by the devs. Maintenance is technically till 3pm PST. They are seemingly working on the backend and throwing small 41mb updates at it. Should work soon enough.

Yeah I ran into this crap a month or so ago, uninstalled retail. Problem solved.
