There are major issues the game devs need to address. Amoung those issues are RNG overload, and repetitive grindy content that is not fun and not engaging.
The entire reason you want flying is to use it as a band aid to get around the game’s real issues. The problem with a band aid is that it isn’t going to stop the game from bleeding out.
The real issues need to be addressed. Flying is just a distraction here.
Yes, and I have said agree with you on that there is issues that needs to be fixing. But dude, seriously, think those issues are ever going to get fixed?
NO!
Blizzard wants to run there game to the point it wants to draw the playerbase out. And on top of that, they also want to delay people with some features that should’ve never been delayed in the beginning.
You do know what is one thing this expansion has been the biggest failure on, do you? If not, it is time-gating. From the pre-launch of BfA to unlocking more content. Flying should’ve never been gated. In Legion, we had flying, for only 1 patch then we were gated from flying again with Argus, and yet, once again, we’re all here to sit and wait for something that should’ve never been gated from the beginning.
But as I said, flying isn’t going to add any content, or removed any content.
Taking that whole post, as a stand-alone, you’re basically saying, “to heck with EVERYTHING that could be improved-- this game has gone to poop-- and no one is EVER going to fix it. Therefore, they should give us flying with no strings attached.”
There is a LOT I could say in response… suffice to say: you are not interested in WoW’s longevity.
How long did it take them between the time they announced we’d be able to fly in WoD, and when it actually went live? Do you not recall the interviews where Ion explained they basically had to re-code the entire continent?
It was due in part to dead patches (I forget the term he used tbh) in the sky where players would randomly be dismounted.
But that is no longer the case, is it? They made Legion and BfA with flying in mind (as Pathfinder was in since launch). So, quite literally, all they would have to do is flip a switch, and we’d be flying tomorrow if they wanted.
Simply put Blizzard/Activision is pushing it’s player base to the point of seeing how much they will take of their Time Metrics B/S by slowing down leveling and it all started during 7.3.0 way back a year and a half ago and then again in 7.3.5 when they themselves admitted to a BUG in the massive thread entitled “XP FROM DUNGEONS” which was started in February of 2018 by Blizzard themselves asking for feedback from us player which was ignored then and also ignored during the Alpha, Beta and PTR testing of BFA.
The thing is if it doesn’t require a player to have to take more time to achieve something then Blizzard doesn’t want to change it plain and simple. We have been complaining all this time but has anything been changed to make things easier for us players? No it hasn’t; But I believe it will in the future just as it did in WoD but will it be too late this time? There’s a saying; Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me the player. I’m not waiting around for that third strike.
My subs up here soon and I don’t plan to return as many others also have left; My guilds are a ghost town and my friends list has dwindled down from around 100 to less then 10 I see on from time to time; Most have went on to ESO & FF1V.
14 years I’ve been here and loved what Warcraft once was but I refuse to play in such a grindfested game anymore that is squeezing every penny they can off of it’s player base.
Let’s talk about you. You don’t bring any facts to support any of your speculations. You only say “you are wrong” and “I am right”. Sub counts from any WoW era don’t support your speculations at all. Even any made up correlations don’t work either. Still waiting for you to bring anything remotely informative to this conversation.
What difference does it make? We’ll have flying for a couple of months then we’ll lose it again as soon as the new “Argus” opens up. So between about 8.2 and 8.3 we’ll be able to fly. Then we’ll spend Xpac endgame on Waterstriders.
Here’s another massive feedback thread where Blizzard themselves asked for feedback.
Same with this thread; Nothing has been done.
Like I said before and I will say again; If it pads the pockets of Blizzard then nothing will be done to change anything; Even when they ask they don’t do anything, They just let us walk out one by one.
Remind me how flying caters to casuals again? Literally all outdoor content is casual. The least casual thing you could do is fly over it to get to the real game.
Also, please post on your super high ranked raid/pvp/m+ toon.
