Is imorph bannable?

i wanna make my main a female character in anticipation for appearance change, is imorph bannable?

It looks pretty fun, so probably. More realistically though, I see a command prompt with wording like injection, so it’s playing with in-game memory space? I’m sure that’s squarely within bannable territory.

There was a big banwave for it around ore patch

I believe it gives tons of false positives to actual bots and they warned people about it before hand

so youd adivse against me using it?

Is it bannable? Yes. Do you really get banned for it? No. Even in ban waves they have historically reversed the ban because it got flagged as a bot.

As far as I know, and have always heard no one has ever been banned for it, people stream using it.

But yes it is technically against ToS

so i can use it?

Based on what was explained to me by a local squirrel on here, messing with models and textures gets into an iffy area

it’s going to fall into don’t-ask-don’t-tell territory, which is a grey area.
At your own risk, it’s usable. But if you get account action because of it, do not be surprised or seek sympathy from the community.

Yup.

Pretty sure they started cracking down on that a month or two ago.

Yes.

If you like being banned.

It’s not iffy at all. Messing with game assets that don’t have an API call is ban hammer time.

They might let you slide on iMorph, but its use falls into a very non-grey area of the EULA.

I can never tell if Glinda is trolling or not but just in case anyone believes this just know that she is right in terms of it is 100% against the rules. But she is wrong about people actually getting banned for it (and staying banned)

Plenty of people were banned for it.

Some people had their bans lifted.

There’s certainly plenty who didn’t.

I never troll.

You’re simply too cynical to recognize the truth.

They literally send out a message almost everytime imorph gets flagged and say that they reversed bans from people who use programs like I morph.

I’m sure the people who had their bans stick most certainly didn’t lie about using a different program that got them banned.

Key words.

Def banable but idk how much they truly care. Sonydigital a middling wow streamer streamed while using it for months and I believe he still has his account so…

OP, the simple answer is, it IS against the rules to use it. At any time you could be banned for it. So why take the chance.

The risk is up to you, but if you get banned for it, Blizzard was in the right to do it since the addon is clearly breaking the rules, no grey area about it.

Is it possible you might get the ban reversed? Yes, but know that Blizzard usually takes a few days to resolves these matters, so if you use it, get a ban and appeal it, you will be looking at several days without access to your account.

And iMorph can get another flag at anytime causing the whole process to repeat.

Ask yourself, is how some pixels look worth all that hassle?

i just wanna be pretty

Couple guildies (claimed) they got a few month ban for using it in classic. One of our top dps actually ended up having to reroll entirely. I have no way to verify why they were banned of course so could have been something else
