Is imorph bannable?

Your account, your risk. You cannot say you did not know or was not warned.

No one had been banned for it before until relatively recently and even then it was a false positive for botting & reversed. They tend to do these in waves, so you’re probably fine to use it until the next wave and MIGHT lose account for a day or two while you appeal it. It’s fine to use if you don’t mind that chance.

I was thinking it was you until I read that.

The techinical term is it’s unsupported- which means that if it sets off flags that make it look like you were doing something not allowed, it can result in a ban. From blizzard’s perspective it changes the code similar to how bots and exploiters do.

However, these bans generally get reversed when an actual person looks at the situation, and sees it’s just to make you look different.

So it’s up to you, but know that you’re gonna trip the automated sensors and catch some bans, and then need to appeal it later. The appeal will usually but not always go through pretty quickly.

When they’re more likely to ban you for morphing but not gold selling/botting

its against ToS, but blizzard hasnt specifically banned for it in the past. so yes you can use it, but no its not 100% safe and you can potentially be banned for it.

if youre looking for someone to tell you “its 100% safe and you cannot be banned for it”, youre not going to get that answer.

I Googled iMporph Classic and the top result is " This will get you banned by Blizzard."

So I guess it is

I know Tmorph got people banned, so if its anything like Tmorph, probably.

Doesn’t seem worth the risk. I’d rather play a character I dont like the look of or reroll to something I like the look of before I risk my account getting banned. even if i can petition for it to get reversed. Id be really upset if I got banned for something petty like messing with models.

A friend of mine got banned permanently for Tmorph use while on stream so it’s possible.

No, it didn’t.

This isn’t the real world. You can’t just “identify” as something else and have it magically change your DNA.

Tangential question–Does this mean the old Super Mario World of Warcraft is bannable also? Since it screws with stuff in-game (the background music)

A guy in my guild got hit with a 6 month ban for it during the pre patch banwave.

I personally wouldn’t risk it

From what I understand, having alternate sound files is not a violation.

They who?

Lol literally everything is automated now.

You can get mass reported by trolls for doing NOTHING and get a full 7 day silence in game and it takes 4-5 days for a ticket to be answered.

Customer support for blizzard is the most terrible experience and almost nonexistent.
