I'm Sorry Blizz, love you, but Someone Messed up on the Stress Test

I got your email. I can’t download. I’ve been playing since 2005. I’ve been watching streamers play beta. I’ve been cool with that.

I’m fine with only being able to level to 5. I just want in. You sent me an email. I can’t download the client. Please advise.

They accidentally flagged the alert for too early the actual stress test I some time today, theres a blue post around here somewhere about it.

Oblivion is referring to the fact that some people received an invite with no ability to download the beta client. Those that were not accidentally emailed already have the ability to download the client and have done so.

For the rest of us that were flagged in error, we wait anxiously to see how the mistake will be resolved.

I hope it’s resolved for the better for you guys. It would really suck, if not.

aahhh didn’t realize there was more than one issue related to the stress test.

Irony is a stress test that has its own stress even getting out the door.

I just downloaded the beta from the bnet launcher. However, we can’t get in until later today (4 pm PDT). My guess is they want to also test a lot of people logging in at the same time to see how that goes too.

This thread has nothing to do with anything. You made a post before checking the CS forums, or even running a simple Google search.

For those experiencing this issue, make sure you don’t have one or more unused/inactive accounts that may have received the invite instead of your active one. Just a thought.

While I am frustrated by the situation (I have been playing since spring of '05), I understand that sometimes these things happen. Depending on how the system is set up, one extra numeral or even a misplaced comma can create an incredible amount of issues.

Blizzard has no intention of disenfranchising us, but they are also human. Also, technology does weird things sometimes and the best of preparation and checking will still allow issues to slip through the cracks.

My guess on this though is that there will be a post soon letting us know it was an error, with an apology, but we will still be watching through the fence.

If you’ve been playing this long, I wouldn’t think this would make you quit.

Mistakes happen, it sucks, but they’re not intentionally doing this stuff to piss people off. Depending on how many people they accidentally sent an invite to, I’d think the easiest solution woild just be to flag those accounts for stress test access.

I got access in the launcher but no email.

You obviously can’t read or don’t understand. Many of us received an email saying we were in the stress test and there is absolutely no option to download it on bnet. Nothing. Nada. Nopes.

Have you tried restarting the bnet app? Your PC? Have you tried running the bnet client beta instead of the regular bnet app?

Just stream of consciousness spitballing it here.

Yep. Sure have.

Tried uninstalling bnet and reinstalling?

I’ll get back to you on that.

It’s a server side flag. Uninstalling the app would not resolve the issue. If it were solvable from the client side, simply restarting the app would fix it.

Edit** not sure why it quoted the original post.

I restarted the app. It’s not there.

Simply responding to the uninstall suggestion. Trying to save you time and effort.
