Weird part is pvpers are the only ones who gatekeep past rewards. You can get almost any item to mog in the game.
So this is why you guys are where your at. You don’t want to do anything to get more people in.

Like a weekly/monthly reward for playing the game. Maybe players in the top 1% of each bracket get a wow token. (Top end of each rating bracket) sounds silly but could help. Just imagine the top 2-3 Players at the top end of r1, glad, duelist, rival, challenger get a wow token

Or seasonal rewards for all players, but mainly a focus for new or improving players. Like each 100cr you push after 1k you get a loot box at the end of the week with a chance for rare cosmetics, random old mount, maybe even the pvp gems/high end mats for gold farming.

Is this a joke? It seems like the 3v3 ladder has somehow gotten worse. Playing against R1s at 1900 is insane. Might as well delete arena from the game entirely.

There’s an exception to the rewards argument. It is that the most popular form of pvp in WoW, random/epic BGs, offer near zero rewards. In fact, they have offered few rewards for decades. And yet they have been and will always be the most popular form of pvp.

So if rewards make players Q and play, why are random/epic BGs so popular? I think the problem lies elsewhere. But, more rewards in casual pvp, sure, why not? I’d take more rewards in random/epic BGs…but if they just keep what they are doing: some xmogs which can be bought later for Marks, I and many others would still Q.

Please just fix MMR. 3’s wouldn’t be dying if people felt like they were progressing. Honestly, the gameplay feels great and I have fun when I arena but the rating distribution feels awful. We need uncapped rating at the beginning of the season and we need more inflation

Players should absolutely not start over at 0 rating each season- just to stomp their way through the low brackets again each time. A zero rating start should only happen at the beginning of the xpac.

No reason to lose points in pvp. When you lose a mythic boss fight or a high key mythic plus you dont lose the way you would if it was an arena or blitz match loss. In pve you rez and try to win again. Why does pvp need to be a different system built on climbing over other people?

Have rewards for prestige based on # total games played to duelist or glad, and give recolor mounts for shuffle and blitz, not just 3s… maybe even a mount or something unique for 2s.

Getting rid of MMR was always the answer. It always will be.
