It’s really simple. They need to ease the difficulty of all titles (excluding maybe rank 1) by a slight bit, and add in some additional check points. There can’t be spots in the ladder where pushing to the next reward feels like an impossibility. For example, you may have really struggled to hit 2100 in RSS and finally got it…next reward is 2400. Most people are just gonna either stop playing at that point or hang it up till the last week. That isn’t good!
As everyone on these forums has said already, they need a return to a percentage-based reward structure, but it needs to be based on live rankings, not an “end of season only” reward. Then inflation/deflation etc will not matter. I’d suggest a 2-3 week time period (pre-season) at the beginning of the season that allows people to jockey for position before rewards are turned on. This would keep people from simply getting gladiator at 33cr by simply being the first to win a ranked 3v3 match.
Like I stated above, I’d suggest rewards be eased up in exclusivity just a slight bit, and additional checkpoints added. Something like this:
Rank 1 - top .25% -
Gladiator - top 1%
Elite II - top 2%
Elite - top 3%
duelist II - top 5%
duelist - top 6%
Rival II - top 12%
Rival - top 15%
Challenger II - top 25%
Challenger - top 35%
Combatant II - top 45%
Combatant - top 55%
Initiate - top 65%
- numbers could change a bit but you get the idea
They also need to just add more cosmetic awards and exclusives that require a certain amount of games played in 2v2, 3v3, RSS, Blitz. Like something unlocked at 50 games played, 100 games played etc. Then these rewards should be updated/changed each season. This would encourage casuals to queue and just encourage overall participation in each bracket without making PVE’ers feel it’s a requirement.
