and whats the point?
its a spec blizzard released, and as such rets have as much need for melee dps items as the next class.
in fact, warriors of todays classic feel entitled to any gear they think fits
them.
thw warrior of todays version wears the exact same gear as a rogue.
for me, valor plate is better dps that lightbringer plate, yet why a warrior rolls om lightbringer is beyond me, as we have no xmog.
in fact i cant counter the number of chain/leather warrior who have were wearing truestrike shoulders who have needed on those shoulders when other players could have used them as an upgrade.
Are you sing me? You gotta be sting me. If, as a Prot Tank, you think mitigation is more important than threat generation for this content, just delete your s*** and go.
I kid. But not really. Arenât you the same guy who made that one âguideâ to warrior tanking while at the same time stating Demoralizing Shout (post bugfix) was better for threat than Battleshout? And then with a serious face, tried to argue that people didnât need Anger Management, because Stance Dancing is a crutch, and called Revenge and Shield Block âsituational stuffâ?
Oh dear. Youâll have to excuse me if I donât take your opinion on anything particularly seriously.
If you plan to raid as ret I donât see the problem here. They didnât reserve the item. They are not entitled to it. Tell them to grow up or reserve the thing they care so much about in the future.
Depends on what you said before the instance started.
Generally speaking, MS > OS. But if you, as the tank, agreed with the group to roll on DPS gear, then there shouldnât be any problem.
However, if you just signed up as a tank and rolled (and won) dps gear over a dps who needed it without first asking, then itâs a scummy thing to do.
The whole âtanking to get dps gearâ conflict could be avoided if people would simply communicate before runs start.
Situations like this is exactly why I duoâd or trio farmed SGC with my friendâs holy paladin. Sometimes, we would bring a guildie that only needed Hand of Justice (already had it) or a caster for the ogreâs loot. I wasnât going to risk losing SGC after going to like, 50 arena runs to finally see it. Hell, only saw Gorosh once in 40-42 runs.
Warriors can go suck a saveloy - anyone can roll on anything. Their loot entitlement is getting absurd on these forums (thankfully not in game so far). No-one gets precedence over anyone in a pug group. That chest is pre-raid BiS for 4 different classes at least. You did nothing wrong. Iâm a Hunter and you can bet Iâd be rolling too. Itâs time to kick this Retail crybully petulance to the curb.
Grats on the chest is the only thing anyone should be saying.
Two wrongs donât make a right. Just because some people who play a certain class are douchebags when it comes to rolling on gear that isnât for their spec, that doesnât make it okay for everyone else to do the same.
I gotta agree with Zakiriâs assessment of warriors. They will absolutely roll on everything. More than once Iâve had a BiS item for my hunter jacked by a warrior because âhe needs it,â - usually just for a stat stick (bows and xbows). Then had the group turn on me because âhunters roll on everythingâ which I donât.
Not much more to say than this. Everyone whoâs played wow for a long time knows this is the standard protocol. You can try to play dumb or ignorant, but the fact is youâre a ninja looter.
Honestly, you guys need to all go back to Retail with this petulant nonsense if you canât deal with the realities of non-instanced loot. Everyone in the group can roll who can use it. Thatâs how PuGâs work.
