The warrior in the group silently /ignored me and one of his guild mates whispered me saying 30 people just put me on /ignore.

I am a paladin tank. Literally only tanking for ret prebis. I do not think most people would bat an eye if a warrior tank rolled on this.

I am not really concerned about some rando guild ignoring me, but i am curious what you would think in this situation.

Ret is literally the worst spec in classic so there is that.

When a good item is yoinked by the Paladin tank for Ret spec, I’d expect people to get upset. Ret does 1/5 to 1/3 the damage of a Warrior DPS, so your meme spec took the most sought after dungeon item from the number 1 DPS spec.

Paladins are healers in raids not Ret paladins so obviously you’re going to piss someone off rolling an item that almost never drops for a useless class like Ret paladin. It’s cool though man just because 30 people ignore you doesn’t mean the end

Where does this entitlement come from? There is no such thing as “ninja-rolling”. He can use it, he can roll on it. Warriors don’t get precedence on anything except Warrior-only gear. You can tell which gear that is because noone else can equip it.

I’d be rolling on it too without a second thought.

Well arguably the tank is already as fully geared as he will get. A ret or prot just don’t really have a place in classic raiding beyond mc without being completely carried.

A full naxx bis ret can’t edge out a real dps class in mc gear.

Now for normal drops I get it not being a big deal but a 1 in a 100 drop just to give it to a future healer or bench warmer is asking a lot.
