I was just suspended for 2 weeks for no reason

Unacceptable tbh. I am pissed.

I get it, I really do. At the same time, you, me, and everyone else who plays the game can be banned at anytime for anything or nothing at all per the EULA.

That’s not really how it works. Just posting and buying on AH will not get you in trouble. There is no control over it.

Now pricing gray items for millons? Using automation? Buying gray items for millions? That’s laundering and will get you in trouble.

But just listing at market value will not.

I didn’t make any real money from anything in WoW. I can literally show them my bank account.

I don’t even get how you could unless it was gold. My gold has only gone up throughout the expansion. Unless their system is so broken they see transferring gold from several characters to the warband bank as “selling” something so it’s flagged, I have no freaking clue.

When the WB bank thing finally came out I transferred prob 12m gold from all my characters to the WB bank.

The only other thing I did was buy a bunch of eggs with Kej and list them on the AH. Like, I like making gold. But I have no desire to remove it from my account.

Oh ok, thanks for correcting me there Jeysca.

And if you got gold that has been acquired through RMT by the person who paid you, you would be actioned. We’ve seen that happen before.

You have to know so you’re getting the gold from - gold from illegal activities that flows to you through trades (not AH) can and has gotten people actioned.

They can do that, but try to avoid it since banning people for actually no reason is just bad for business.

So unless the GM hit the wrong button (very rare, but can happen), they think they have evidence that some rules were broken.

Nothing you provide from the outside will be accepted/looked at, because they know that the bad actors will try and send them falsified/forged documents.

None of that matters to blizzard. They are the judge jury and executioner.

Now you could be truly innocent, and I am not accusing you of anything in the least. If it is indeed an udate to the warden that caused it to falsely flag accounts, you have to give them time to go over things with a fine-tooth comb.

Once the dust has settled and they overturn the punishment, you can put in a ticket and ask for compensation for game time lost.

I was exaggerating obviously. I know.

Yea. Well, considering who else got caught up and how they characterized how it happened earlier in this thread, I say they have some kind of issue.

I have a ton of achievement points, I’m almost 2700 in M+, I have the TWW meta done so far. I play a LOT. I wouldn’t put myself in jeopardy to make 10 bucks lol. Or whatever someone could make. I would just buy a token.

Nothing is perfect, not even the warden software they use.

The only thing I can speculate is that possibly it was updated to detect, say, an X cheat program, and it flagged those accounts, and in doing so, falsely flagged innocent accounts.

As I said previously, let the dust settle first and give them time to go over all of the data collected. In the meantime, keep putting in appeals until they tell you to stop. That is really the only advise i can offer.

Already been corrected Pooh, thank you also correcting me.

We don’t know whether they have been falsely penalized or not. We can speculate, but since we don’t have access to any sort of data, we can’t fully confirm on this.

Did you get your appeal answered?

Pooh, want to read further:

I’m going to advised on not going further.

This is at least 5 people reporting they bought reagent bags with undercoins and then received this ban. The other day I didn’t even know it was a thing. I was on wowhead looking at comments on undercoins and saw someone mention it. As I said before, I bought 43 boxes and made like 143k on it.

But that has nothing to do with selling something IN GAME and making actual real money with it. This is the only thing I can think of other than transferring all my gold from my characters to the warband bank at the beginning of TWW. Which might look like a huge change in currency, or that gold was removed somehow.

In the grand scheme of things, this is an extremely small number of people and, while it may feel like it accounts for why you received an account action, it does not mean that’s what caused it.

This is exactly why Blizzard rarely ever gives details on what an account was actioned for.

Additionally, while this forum allows for some leniency with regards to posting about account actions (which is technically against the rules), they do tend to lock these up reminding people that their only recourse is to appeal via tickets.

You’re welcome to reopen your appeal (several times usually) until they advise you that no further appeals will be viewed and that further tickets may result in account actions for GM Harassment.

No, this wouldn’t have been from selling things on the AH.

For one person in this thread, selling runs for gold is okay but if that gold you receive is dirty then you are on the hook for it too. Don’t sell runs for gold unless you’re willing to take that chance.

Yes, this could be the result of an exploit, but unless Blizzard announces something, then that’s still just speculation!

Best of luck with your appeals.

I’m talking about JUST in this thread. Who knows how many people total it applies to.

And yes, if people were LEGIT suspended for no reason, please keep posting.

And just to point it out, how do you determined what’s something legit and what isn’t? We, the forum goers, have no way to know who’s telling the truth and who’s laying.

This would be why those kind of threads ain’t allowed as they’re nothing but hearsay and shooting in the dark for something no one has any real way to confirm.

Did you by chance admit in chat to paying somebody for their Mountain Dew codes that wasn’t you buying the product directly from the store?
