Yes, but what of it? Religion didn’t guillotine and drown all those people. It didn’t declare war on every neighboring country. It wasn’t even the reason the French Revolution failed.

It wasn’t about minority groups as much as it was society and politics’ obsession around minority groups for the past decade or so.
They didn’t seem to be calling actual groups of people a ‘fad’.

More or less what I mean. I can’t see it remaining as a advertising point or forced inclusion as a way to sell product. Ideally that comes hand in hand with opening up language more and having less sacred cows.

Right Leaning isn’t political, it’s a lifestyle. I don’t get why he got banned.
Could I ask how old you are? Not that it matters, but I am 59 and political obsession with lgbt people has gone on as long as I remember. It was vicious during the Reagan administration.

Fair, I misread their post a bit. I’ll admit that particular note is close to my heart, as well - the discourse around being queer in general being a ‘fad’ or a ‘trend’ is still mind-bendingly common.

Politics and religion are taboo topics in many groups for a reason.
Almost guaranteed to start passion debate that turns into hate from either side or other bad feelings then an awkward feeling sometimes builds which can distract the group from its intended purpose.
That is because people get so cultish over their views.
The lack of self awareness is jaw dropping. But yes, I think we all can agree that everyone should keep their business to themselves.
