I Buy Boosts and Am Not Ashamed

I’m fine with continuing to take the stairs. At least I will have earned all that I wear legitimately. And for someone like me? That’s important. It’s fine if it means nothing to someone else. Just like it’s fine for me to dismiss them and never play with them should I find out they participated in such behavior.

I would have zero issue with boosting if the ads were put into trade chats (tbc in particular)

boosts for raids also cheapen the achieves; most of us earn achieves so it’s a slap in the face to see so many folks unabashedly flaunt titles they bought.

ever wonder WHY boosters stick to gold only? it gives the illusion that it’s legit; most of the gold earn then goes on the market for real money…it’s a vicious cycle

They get gold audited by blizzard. So they really just sit on that gold, atleast for Huokan.

Activision shareholders thank you.

It’s not technically pay to win because you aren’t required to buy the token.

I have a guildy that’s progging on mythic sylvanus that’s good capped.

He buys sylvanus kills for his Alts because they are like 75k right now and he can make that gold faster than dealing with pugs.

Meh heroic achievements haven’t really ever mattered much.

Yeah… this is the bit of boosting I just never understood. How is it fun or satisfying to buy gear or rating? I just don’t get it.

You’re paying a sub fee every month to play a game, then paying even more money to have another player essentially play the game for you while you sit back and collect your pixels. But you didn’t actually play the game! Dunno, maybe it’s just me, but gear or rating in and of itself is meaningless, it’s the memories and fun with friends while earning that loot/rating that is fun. If you’re not actually enjoying playing the game but just the rewards at that point might as well save yourself some money and unsub.

Woah you got flagged hard fast.

People don’t realize that this is the new WoW. World of Token. Everything is about selling more tokens.

Mythic rating not account wide? Well you can buy more tokens on each characters now for your boosts.

What about people who have CE but put heroic sylv kills on Alts?

You’re free to pay Blizzard for gold to pay other players that gold for a carry, but you don’t really have any right to demand other people see your purchase as legitimate. They’re entitled to their opinions of you, and those opinions are very likely deserved.

:+1:

The point is OP feels bad, he knows others don’t respect his “achievements” (lol), and is getting salty that the warm fuzzies he thought he’d get buying a boost never occurred.

i think they get around ‘auditing’…huokan is SELLING mt carries…that is a real money trans that will not show in gold audit. they have you go to a 3rd party website then use discord to facilitate

I haven’t seen them advertise MT, but those who do I report them, there’s no way one can legit sell mage tower.

What I really want to know if it’s all about earning the gear and deserving to wear it as from experience all Elite players say drives them.

Why do all you ELITE players join boosting communities in the 10s of thousands and just give the gear to players?

The background still means nothing to me. If they earned Cutting Edge legitimately, but buy heroic sylv kills, then they obviously aren’t bad. But I still need not acknowledge them.

just reported 4 in trade chat, from HC-huokan for spamming mt carries…

…?

I don’t actually understand the logic of this at all. You’re buying AOTC so that your alt shows up as AOTC on Raider IO so you can join AOTC PUGs going forward? Your mains credentials show up on RIO anyways if you link your account.

Whatever, this is one of this hypothetical forum scenarios meant to be contrarian anyways so digging into it too deeply is kind of pointless anyways. I’d stake a good chunk of $$$ that most folk buying AOTC parse grey.

Could you help me out with an answer to this question?

???

Dude has like 4 or 5 Alts that he plays to push high keys. So instead of getting into pugs and wiping for an hour he joins and pays 75k each and gets them all done in an hour.

He’s only doing it for the gear drops.

I agree with this aside from it being hypothetical. Was more trying to be devils advocate lol.

To them, boosting the gear is also earning it.
