I am late to the party but Warfronts are fun, at least imho

Warfronts are kind of enjoyable the first time around. I like the Darkshore warfront less than I like the Arathi Highlands warfront. I think they could have been made more enjoyable and introduced a PvP aspect. The lack of any real danger of losing is unenjoyable to me.

I get absorbed in Warfronts like that because I want to learn more about the lore and thatā€™s the best part about the Warfronts really, itā€™s the lore advancement. Now normally I wouldnā€™t be that bothered by it except that, in Darkshore for example, there are many NPCs with immersive flavor text that donā€™t appear in the faction flipped zone.

I do wish it didnā€™t have to be that way, that I could realize there are no Defiler NPCs in Arathi and get frustrated by that outside of the battle. :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree. Iā€™m enjoying them.

I enjoyed them the first time. But if the reward wasnā€™t present Iā€™d never enter them again

They offer little to no challenge. No thought process or strategy. Lack replay value since they always play out exactly the same. I appreciate the effort, itcould be expanded on and evolve into something more.

The pacing is far too slowā€”I like the RTS idea of building out a plan, but instead of us being the Hero units of WC3 weā€™re the peons.

  • Rather than having the resource gather phase, let the resources build automatically w/ NPC peons or let us just bring in a fixed amount.
  • Let us build a variety of buildings out the gate, without long build times
  • Have us make decisions on what to buildā€”there should be options of what to build that affect what capabilities you have, not just the end goal of slowly building the same set of buildings each time
  • Build our armyā€”everyone should get to train an amount of NPCs to fight alongside themā€“this should be the main focus of what our buildings provide

Zone in, make some decisions, build an army, and go to battle. Each warfront should feel unique based on how we choose to buildā€”right now its just a slow buildup to reach the same scripted scenario each time.

Itā€™s a 20man island expedition. Itā€™s a huge scam and a waste of time.

Only the first time. Then you have to wait a whole cycle 'til the quest is available again.

I would do it daily should I have pets, mounts, toys or even a daily quest.

To me theyā€™re very boring. Thereā€™s no thinking involved.

Iā€™ve literally almost soloā€™d most a warfront till the final boss. This content is hot-garbage and the man hours behind it could be put to better use elsewehere.

I sometimes feel the only true Warfront would be pvp.

When you play against the program it becomes incredibly dull after the first couple of times, and it gets down to: is the reward worth my being involved in something that is so very boring I feel like I canā€™t get those little slabs of my life back again.

IMO warfronts should only have been pvp. Some equivalent (and entertaining) activity should have been provided for people who donā€™t pvp so both types of player could game for the same level of reward. But you could only do one per cycle, not both, thus keeping it a level playing field.

I can only imagine that this appropriately describes the team losing the warfront.

The one I was in today was kind of a turtle. I am loathe to do them, really needing just the shoulders now (not having luck getting them from the Darkshore ā€œpatrolā€ one, though getting many repeat pieces.)

However, we basically did everything right and finished the thing. A lot of the other people may have just been scrubby (like me, Scrubby McScrubberson!, Lols!)

Then, there was a miracle. The one set piece I needed for mogging the NE armor, was the shouldersā€¦

I got them BOTH! One 400 one, with the feathers, for the quest. Then the 355 regular one for doing the warfront.

Warfronts are just 20 minutes of collecting resources like the peons in the OG warcraft and then fighting a thing at the end.

Itā€™s pretty shocking actually how bad of content it is. Even more shocking to see even one person liking it.

Why do people think this? You really can lose when your base gets invaded. They will kill your commander if itā€™s early and left unchecked, at least in Arathi.

Darkshore Iā€™ve heard can bug out if you try to skip the building process so itā€™s kind of like you can lose maybe.

Also,

LOL, not everyone needs all content to be super hard and cutting edge, it is ok to have some relaxing mind numbing gameplay as well.

I generally like them, too. Itā€™s nice to have another way to farm versatile gear without doing pug after pug, possibly wiping all of them.

I enjoyed them too, at least until I burnt myself out on them. They have potential, but Iā€™m not sure Heroic mode can save them. Nothing wrong with enjoying something
