Warfronts are fun to do 2-4 times… Then they get boring suuuupppper fast. Gathering resources is kinda bland gaemplay. Also being unable to lose takes out all feeling of agency…
Now put in some PvP warfronts and we are talking.

Warfronts are fun…to afk in.
LOL, not everyone needs all content to be super hard and cutting edge, it is ok to have some relaxing mind numbing gameplay as well.
No. That is what TV is for. Something interactive should be actually interactive. If you want relaxing, go put on music and zen out or go brain dead in front of the TV like we’ve done for years.
Why people have started coming into the game market looking for a “chill” experience akin to watching TV is beyond me, but it’s changing the market for the worse IMO.
It’s coming back as an epic BG.
Is the epic lag coming back with it…
I actually enjoy them as well, I just wish the objectives weren’t so templated. I wish there were multiple paths you could take to get to the final boss. Examples include:
If your team wanted to, they could catapult themselves into the enemy base early and fight a much strengthened version of the last boss (similar to fighting AV bosses with multiple towers still up)
Adding bomb piles for bomb running to destroy gates (in the Arathi one at least) that would allow you to make dangerous runs to the gate under a barrage of arrows. Would require some healers to run with to make sure its not a suicide run
Just a few improvements to make it not so templated would be a lot of fun, so that the team would have to have a strategy. Just a thought!
Put 20 of the new advanced AI on the enemy side. Then we would have something.
Still mostly auto win but at least a bit more engaging.
If you’re having fun cool. But Warfronts to me are one of the most boring additions to WoW. Especially since there’s only 1 difficulty and it’s pretty much a guaranteed win.
repost this after you do them on 10 character for a full set of gear
I like war fronts. I like Sarok’s idea of having the other side have 20 of the new advanced AI enemies on the other side.
I feel like most of the folks that don’t like them probably never played the original RTS games. For me, I like the feel of living out a RTS Warcraft battle.
I’d love harder difficulties though.

You’d be wrong. I loved playing LotR:BfME2 and Age of Empires 2 and of course the Warcraft series. The difference between the RTS that I’ve played and the one that they put in front of me is that there was a challenge in one of them with multiple ways for me to achieve victory. The warfronts are pretty much a guaranteed win.
Impossible to lose, and you just run up mid and hit a training dummy for 30 minutes while watching youtube for a free heroic piece yeah great stuff
Sure if half the group is AFK…
But, how?
Posts must be 10 characters? WHAT IS THIS TYRANNY?

You are entitled to your opinion but i haven’t “started coming into the game market”, i was there when the video game industry STARTED and guess what, it was ok to just relax and play something that wasn’t all twitch and cutting edge…ie pong.
And guess what video gaming started on…TV, as that was the only medium to play them on.
Get a grip, it is OK to not have everything be rush rush rush to the finish “interactive” gaming. Warfronts are as interactive as you make them.
where I wish there was that much more to them.
Agree…they need more depth. A random elite that’s an actual threat to progression or more back flag capping or um…anything. Or just let us steam roll them. Pick a lane.
Sure if half the group is AFK…
Well, if it helps, I barely pay attention. I have no idea what is going on with those warfronts and I usually just pick a crowd and follow it. So, I could be the reason one of those warfronts fails one day.
warfronts aren’t too bad. not my fav thing to do by far but not too bad. i liked them a lot more before i spent days on end gearing alts in them and i really dislike darkshore setup.
like island expeditions though, i would prefer to see more variety to them than i’ve seen so far. got to that dull repetitive feel far too quick for me, just like world quests, in comparison to things i’ve done a million times like daily quest hubs and dungeons, which never got old.
to each their own

Is it though? I don’t really get much of an interaction out of an NPC and scenario that just gives up when I’m done beating them up when they don’t even really fight back. And going in and doing relaxing content and being rewarded Heroic quality gear feels pretty bad.
They know if it didn’t then the content would have longer Q’s because the amount of people participating would nosedive.
