Horde vs. Ally Start point in AV

You think they’d do just fine with a third of their team AFK, botting or leeching?

:cactus:

Right those are problems caused by the map.

If it was a systemic issue to alliance it would be happening in the other BG’s as well.

You just explained it yourself

These are not general alliance issues they are specific to AV hence the issue is AV not alliance.

Try again.

:cactus:

The queues for the battlegrounds would seem to indicate that most of the alliance arent doing AV.

Of course most alliance who are interested in good games are avoiding a broken map.

Shocking.

This works as well.

:cactus:

Not really as alliance pugs do just fine in the other 2 BG’s vs horde pugs.

So once again it ends up being an AV specific issue.

Really? The Alliance has issues in the one BG that they can no longer pre-made in.

Shocking.

:cactus:

You cant have it both ways.

Sure we can the other BG’s don’t have the same issue as AV.

You cant say that AB/WSG are proof the alliance can hang with the horde in AV while simultaneously admitting those same alliance dont do AV.

Except that clearly shows the map is the issue if those same alliance are avoiding AV.

Go ahead and poll 100,000 Alliance on which came first. AFKing or the map problems. 99,999 of them will say the map is the cause, with Vartonis being the lone laughing stock.

Other PvP maps showing that Alliance will PvP on a fair playing field… is somehow contradicting the fact that they’re avoiding the unfair one? What?

#NoChAngEs though

Then it needs to be addressed.

You can look at the post history of AV since it launched. People, especially those in Alliance pre-mades, complained about PUGs (especially those not willing to give raid assist or join discord), leeches, AFKers and bots. Alliance PUGs complained about queue dodging and being mass-reported by Alliance pre-mades. What they didn’t complain about really was the map. That is, until the ability to pre-made was changed.

I love how disingenuous people are being. Both can be right, it’s the map and the players. A slight imbalance in one interacts with issues in the other and the situation multiplies as time goes on.

However, you aren’t going to fix the players’ attitude just by willing it to be so. You have to fix tangible things and, hopefully, encourage people to come back and try more. That means correcting the map, doing premades properly, changing differences between the factions, fixing queue issues, and so on.

At this point it’s going to take radical corrections to do anything and it’ll probably be a while before things settle down to in a better place. Or we can just do as Blizzard has done and give up on the matter entirely.
