Greetings, I am Retributor from EU- Draenor. Seems all feedback on EU forums goes straight to the void, I am here with a plea to fix wow.
Horde got
Blood elves in TBC instead of Ogres. Alliance never got high elves, present since 2005 in the game in alliance and alliance-friendly cities.
80% Of total PvE rankings, alliance didn’t even make the hall of fame for many raids
All content is designed for horde, and alliance story is just mirrored to that. Eg this thread (1)
It’s time to end faction imbalance by enriching the dev team with neutral/alliance developers who care for the wellbeing of the game, not their red faction.
WoD and Legion felt a lot more Alliance focused imo. Horde was more or let just there in the background. Being that BFA was split down the middle I really don’t see any Horde bias
It’s partly the dev’s fault for encouraging making fun of the Alliance at public events while hyping up the Horde.
At first glance, it isn’t a big deal but when it continues through the years, it clearly shows players that the Horde is a make believe “cool” faction because of either brainwashing or singling out the players who play the other faction.
They punched themselves in the face with their dumb practices.
You’re fighting Garrosh and the Orc clans, Alliance side was way more in depth about it, not to mention all the Draenei stuff, Horde was more or less just “dude this could’ve been us”
I think they mean “Horde Bias” being that of Faction imbalance and not story driven, or maybe they mean both. The faction imbalance will never dwindle and will only continue to increase, not sure what players want the Developers to do to change that.
They make to much money off character transfers and the worse the Alliance image gets the more Alliance players migrate to the Horde side seeking a better gaming experience in all aspects of the game.
High Elves in the World are NPCs, neutral or friendly to both the Horde and Alliance, unless they are in Faction only quest hubs.
Blood Elves were intended for the Horde for a long time.
"At the same time, we’ve added totally new newbie areas for the Blood Elves and Draenei so veterans can have a new low-level experience. But it’s not like we’re pocketing the Blood Elves and Draenei in their own areas and they’re locked out of the rest of the game. After level 20 or so we very quickly start breadcrumbing them all over the world and integrating them with the rest of the quests. One of the big fears we had was that if we added these cool new areas, the rest of your old world is empty all of a sudden.’
"That’s something we talked about four and five years ago."

'Blood Elves were chosen as the Horde expansion race in the Burning Crusade because designers were thrilled with how well Samwise had redesigned the classic wood elves with the night elves. And they knew that, “one day, high elves are going to have to get a facelift, too.
“I don’t think anyone has abused high elves to this degree,” Metzen said."
I wouldn’t mind Blood Elves being given to the Alliance. Most of the npcs that are ones are disrespectful to the player because of their superiority complex and the people that play them are um… girl(s).
Besides everyone knows Orcs are superior zug zug for Warchief Garrosh.
