I do not agree, it would be very nice and I do not see any real reason why they could not become a single faction.

I mean I wasnât for Paladins for a legitimate HE AR I felt the possibility to encroach on Sunwell themes was too high.
If they use HE lore to justify new VEs, then I support Paladins very much so.
I know some void elf fans wanted a Paladin regardless of these new revelations anyways, citing the idea of Void themed Paladin etc.
But we may also just get NE Paladins and no VE Paladins who knows.
But I support both VEs and NEs being given Paladin now.
I mean I do support more class/race combos across the board.
I just contest the common notion that High Elf Paladins were iconic representatives of them as a people, so I just have never bought into the âHigh Elves NEED to be paladinsâ idea.
Would be nice if they did, and I see a lot of potential with VE paladins as either the apex of the cyclical nature of the void and light struggle, or as a flavor of a âShadow paladinâ through cosmetic glyphs -Like, how Riftblades use a lot of paladin-esque abilities-

I, personally, donât think it makes sense for only Belves to get the tattoos. Void Elves (even without High elf customization) should have such things too.

Void energy is literally the opposite of Holy Energy. Thematically, in universe, this does not make sense.

The identity of the Paladin has been diluted enough with the other equivalents (Sun Druids for example). At least those equivalents still, in some respects, still access the light even if through other means and if their primary practice is not that of an archetypal Paladin.
The Void Paladin? Thatâs about as far away as you get from PaladinâŠarguably really going Black Guard or even Anti-paladin.
Getting off the topic a bit, Iâm the only one who thinks it would be nice if BE, VE/HE and Nightborne could be druids. I mean, at the end of the day the druids were once part of their culture (a long long time ago) and in the particular case of the Nightborne, and BE (#TeamLorâthemarxThalyssra), during Legion they spent the expansion doing grow a tree and learning about the balance between nature and arcane (not to mention the NB Gardener on the raid, and the Herbalists BE on TBC).
I donât think you have any lore basis for why they would not have tattoos available to them.
They should have voidy colors for them. Oh! Could apply that scintillating blue purple the tentacles have to it.
Oh wow you missed a conversation last night then. I agree with you on that. I would have preferred Druid and Shaman over Paladin.
Iâm more supportive going forward as I think making VEs Paladin doesnât encroach on any Sunwell themes.
And advocating for VE Paladins with HE lore for VEs would make a lot of people happy so thatâs kind of where Iâm at.

Cause again, void kinda invaded their bodies to their last atom as per the lore? Runic tatoos invoking arcane proficiency -and spells- seem like an unecessary overkill for people mostly using void for their spells nowadaysâŠ
Also, even while similar, we still have to differentiate the models by a minimum. You guys can keep the paint used by Alleria for example, leave the runic tatoos for the more arcane inclined Belves and Nightborne.

Oh I just realized they added the black hair on the VE male! Really hoping for white too -but blonde? part of me thinks Ion is gonna be all âWell I did say if you wanted to be a blonde elf you should go horde!â so heâll remain âtechnicallyâ correct.

They are not giving them high elves, but the high elves are becoming void elf, which would make them never have paladins.
the lore may move in that direction, uniting the alliance helfs with the void elfs
