Quoting data that shows we’re 3rd at any giving point is not the same thing as claiming Ret is a top 3 DPS in the game.
Again this nerf was a Herald VS Templar nerf, would have been nice to compensate it at base kit but we’re doing decently enough that they deemed it not necessary.
Doesn’t mean they won’t make more adjustments, as everyone said instrument inflates the average but we also scale better.
So obviously it won’t drop as much as it did before, we just need to see how much.

nope friend, he is saying according to overall data, there were two different charts, but i guess sometimes its hard to distinguish some stuff.
on overall damage in the raid, we were third, of course, instrument of retribution and a lot of padding cause a lot of bosses with adds / cleave.
on pure single target, or how warcraftlogs say: damage against bosses, we were 9th, feel free to check wowhead, the images of those charts are there.
but, your friend never said anything about it, since he thinks our single target is freaking amazing.
i’m not arguing against warcraftlogs, im actually using it to point out wrong stuff here.
but i guess being 9th on single, even with instrument all over the place, its good for you guys.

Okay, It’s objectively good for 1.
For 2, you could be last and still be good depending on the delta.
If there’s a variance of 5% or less between the top and bottom spec, excluding externals and Aug for obvious reasons, then you’re faced with a pretty well balanced game.
Obviously this can’t be achieved from the start and at every level while the majority of the spec/classes are “gearing up”, they have to wait for most to get close to BIS or a certain Ilvl but we’ve had a pretty remarkable balance in DF compared to previous expansions.

please keep in mind we’re ninth place due to instruments and other simliar cheeses. we’re very likely going to go down.
keep in mind we were also number 3 in boss damage first week and we dropped.

yup, exactly this.
but such a simple thing, still hard understanding, for people that comment but don’t actually play the game.
my point to be against the nerf, is that on the first weeks of raiding / new content, we are always bloated by instrument (that should be removed, cause being balanced around it its very bad)
if they nerfed dawnlight, but buffed hammer of light, or even gave a buff to templar’s verdict, i wouldn’t really care, but just nerfing overall damage, while its being bloated by external means feels stupid, also when ST damage needs adjustments.
and i don’t really know why people here agree with the reasoning for nerfs, but yeah, it is what it is
i mean given recent developments, theyre probably gonna buff FV soon.
a second build has hit the ret tower 
inc more bandaid fixes then, 3% more damage!

Herald was already a meh but since templar is even worst we don´t have much choice but now with the nerf i don´t know what to, pve balance is destroying pvp. Ret is now almost a C tier in pvp, my only hope is the upcoming changes in 0.5 but the damage will be still missing if the don´t do something.
This guy’s IO score for the last two seasons was lower than mine, but he’s talking $#!+ now at the FIRST WEEK of M+???
