Hi!
I bought two WoW Tokens in WotLK last month , didnt use them right away because the was the possibility that I would be traveling this week and didnt want to waist a week of a game time.
I tought it would be like retail WoW where it shows you have the tokens in your bag and allows you to use it but that doesnt seem to be the case… Is there anyway I could use those Tokens for game time?
If you have run out of Game Time you cannot interact with the WoW Token system in Wrath Classic; you must consume your Token while you still have active Game Time on your account.
Edit: OP came back and stated Support will not assist with Wrath tokens.
'm pretty sure I’d seen one of the SFAs kind of infer they weren’t doing this anymore? The rules are set now with how tokens work - specifically that if they’re purchasing them from the WotLKC side of things, they have to use them while they have active game time.
Apparently I didn’t bookmark it, or the thread in question got nuked to 404’s wasteland. I believe it was Darth who had suggested asking for the day of game time and Vrak had responded to it about them not really doing it any longer? But I’ve yet to put my finger on the posts/threads in question.
OP, good luck to you whether they’ll give you the day’s time. And if my google-fu does turn up the thread, I’ll link it up.
That said, OP, considering someone linked the WoW token article that says they don’t give temporary access to the game to purchase/use WoW tokens anymore… odds are you’ll have to purchase an actual month to be able to use the WoW tokens you have in Classic.
Still, wouldn’t hurt to try asking – worst they can do is say no.
When the wrath token was launched i waited a bit then bought several with gold and left them in my bags. I cancelled my sub and used those tokens. Like you my game time expired and couldn’t log into retail but it let me log into wrath to crush my next token. I guess Blizzard must of changed the rules since then to try screw their customers just a bit more.
"Apologies for the delay getting back to you, it’s pretty busy here recently with the Dragonflight, Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Hardcore Classic, Season of Discovery Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV updates, among other things
Since WoW Classic requires active gametime to log in, there is no current way to use a WoW Token from Wrath Classic if your account is inactive.
Unlike in Dragonflight where you can still log into the character selection screen and characters level 20 or below, Wrath and Classic need active time to even get to the character screen.
In future you would want to use the Wrath Classic token before you run out of time, or keep the Tokens for time on your Dragonflight characters."
