A big problem with ff14 that WoW doesn’t have

Apparently this weekend they actually had to stop digital sales. They were listed as sold out with a waiting list. The servers are full with players. All of them. During what is technically a content lull. Not a problem for WoW though, so that’s a good thing I guess. Apparently it’s sold out again. Edit: thanks mods.

FF14 lies?

I don’t understand how if supposedly FF14 passed us in numbers and “WoW is dead” Why is it that their streamers/viewership is so low and their forums are like… desolate. I seriously think that there is such Anti-WoW bias (from even its own players) that it creates conspiracy theories and fake metrics. WoW doesn’t even report it’s numbers so how are these people comparing it to anything. I play both games… and WoW feels so much more alive. I think FF14 will never truly hold a candle to WoW and…

Please, remember, that the Final Fantasy community is the least toxic of all MMORPGs and probably MMOs in general. Try and not tarnish your wholesome and welcoming community’s reputation by demonstrating the opposite to WoW players. This is to say, as Final Fantasy players, the goal should be to recruit as many WoW players as possible and what hurts this effort is coming onto these players’ forums and ragging on their game and them for playing it. It really just makes you look bad. So, stop it. …

You’re not wrong. It would be nice if all the FFXIV posts were in one thread. However, you asking for that will mostly just cause more FFXIV threads to be created.

Why not it’s far more fun to talk about these topics then anything WoW related unless it’s to criticize how poorly a job Blizzard is doing on every level. Which is why there are so many FF threads. If Blizz just listened to people in Alpha and scrapped these bad systems SL wouldn’t of ended up flopping driving people away from the game.

Blizz created this problem by being stubborn and trying to control every aspect of how we play the game. Now people are enjoying games where that doesn’t happen. Blizz needs to change.

I figure if GD is going to get a dozen new threads a day about it, maybe we can just consolidate.
I don’t think anyone actively uses off-topic gaming, but I could be wrong.

To be honest, FF14 might not be bad…

Having said that no matter how hard their player base tries, WoW will always have more players.

Generally, people that talk about FFXIV here aren’t doing it for the sake of doing so.

Aside from a few trolls, they want to introduce/reintroduce the ideas and design philosophies found in that game that could improve WoW.
