Please, remember, that the Final Fantasy community is the least toxic of all MMORPGs and probably MMOs in general. Try and not tarnish your wholesome and welcoming community’s reputation by demonstrating the opposite to WoW players. This is to say, as Final Fantasy players, the goal should be to recruit as many WoW players as possible and what hurts this effort is coming onto these players’ forums and ragging on their game and them for playing it. It really just makes you look bad.
So, stop it.

The people you speak of are probably WoW players who played ffxiv for a bit and then came back here to post about it. Someone who has been playing Final Fantasy for years isn’t coming to WoW forums to tell you about it lul
Pretty much this…their forums don’t even get used tbh. The front page last I checked is littered with asmongold posts and nothing else.
Literally every other major competing MMO’s fanbase has had this exact same issue too.

Well forums are normally a place people come to voice complaints or say they are leaving the game lol. So theirs being quite is a good thing. It means they are spending more time on the game then coming to a site to complain and never be heard
No the forums are a place for discussion. The WoW general forums have devolved into that.
I’d like to discuss a critically acclaimed MMORPG, but there are none currently on the market. Just MOBAs in Open World clothing.
I still do not understand the appeal of that game. Having played it off and on, I can wholeheartedly say I hate that game and all it’s stupid systems / bad writing.
You can keep your terrible game, I’d rather you keep it contained to your own game forums, but I know you FF14 players cannot help yourselves, so I just have to flag the posts anytime I see them.

I thought it was rather funny that they presented themselves as the most polite people in the world only to reveal their true colours: They’re humans who can be toxic.
Some people have played both for years and just comment on threads that are trying to spread disinformation.
Some also try to make a failing aspect of WoW better by expressing what they like about other MMOs in hopes that they get implemented in WoW.
Then there are some who just want to troll.
Which unfortunately WoW is attempting to clone (e.g. Main Quest system).
Just tell them pvp should give some type of legit gear that can be used in other content and they will explode.
The only diff between communities is. WoW players are toxic about everything and FF14 you just need to say the right things to make them toxic
I see no difference between FF 14 players and WoW players in terms of toxicity.

There are 2 reasons why they are here on the WoW forum -
1.) they would be banned on the FFXiV forum for acting like they do here
2.) they don’t really play FFXiV, they just wanna rage on the WoW forum about the game they play
They’re all the same human beings. It’s not like they become Literal Monks while they play FF 14.
People who think the FF 14 community isn’t as toxic as WoW are the same type of people who think Vanilla WoW or Classic community isn’t toxic.
The damn game punishes you for being toxic. Duh why would they be toxic in game? They are toxic outside.
