Feeling a little homeless. Where does an orc go?

Being a Moon Guard main, my Alliance characters have no issue finding a home. There’s something for everyone. Every race for the most part has some place, be it a location, small community or a guild that suits their needs. I made a character on Wyrmrest Accord because it apparently has more of a walk up community for Horde. But, it just seems like everyone stands around Orgimmar not saying anything. I saw two people talking about Hearthstone but it was pretty silent other than that. I unlocked Mag’har orcs and I’d like to main one. Moon Guard isn’t the best for Horde walk ups in my experience, but here seems almost as quiet? I’m used to trade chat popping off 24/7 and people littering the streets of Stormwind and everyone talking. I just don’t feel like playing Alliance. I want to go back to my Horde roots, but it feels like no where is really giving me as big of a community feeling. Am I just logging on the wrong time of day? When is Wyrmrest busiest? Are there any particular clans out there that are accepting orcs? Trade chat was so quiet and I’m not sure if any responds to the guild finder.

Horde side is a lot more disorganized ever since shadowlands killed the game for most folks. Your best bet for finding a guild is to check the directory here, and then poke around some discords that allow a place for guild adverts. Other than that, you won’t see most of the guilds on the server hold a guild presence within Valley of Honor, especially the way it was overly crowded back in bfa.

Bumping time of day on the server: 5pm server time, onwards. The end of month guild faires bring out a lot of people.

I’m sure most of the relevant and current parties will pop in here soon with their links and such.

Ultimately, the point is that horde probably doesn’t have enough given to us in lore right now to be relevant beyond a heritage quest or two. And that’s a factor slapped on top of other issues hordeside has had since the start of the decline. The other big factor is that orgrimmar’s design hasn’t really grown on anyone since cata, and blizzard CBA to do anything about that but keep cluttering the city with more npcs.

Oh, I see. I’ll browse then. Thanks for the additional info, too.

It does ultimately depend on what you are looking for, all considered.

There are plenty of mixed guilds running around and clowning about, but the ‘Specifc Culture Guild’ is much harder to find because it is a niche thing all considered.

it’s also rough for orcs since after being the primary force leading 2 Horde Wars of aggression, a lot of orc characters are seen as Jack Boot thugs until proven otherwise thanks to how the orc specific community had been for awhile.

Dont base your expectations on MG-A. NOTHING, is as active as that. And nothing will ever be as Active as that again. Id bet it has more than half the roleplaying community at this point. EVERYTHING else is going to feel small.

Hi there!

If you’re a discord user, I recommend checking out the Wyrmrest Community Project: Wyrmrest Community Project - Wyrmrest Accord - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

it’s an active spot to make RP connections, get a feel for what’s out there in the wide world of Wyrmrest, and they have a guild listings directory you can browse in addition to the forums here. I originally started RPing on Earthen Ring and I can say that since I’ve found my way on Wyrmrest over the last few years, finding a guild (or discord community) really opens up the experience on this server.

May I also recommend the guild I am part of, the Violet Vanguard? We’re not orc-focused, but a cross-faction band of characters focused on world RP storylines, with multiple DMs to hit a variety of themes and activities week-to-week. We have active weekly guild RP sessions every Thursday at 5PM server / 8PM EST. We coordinate a lot on discord and in general ours is a welcoming, easy-going roster of players interested in PvE and RP. Here’s our forum post: [H/A RP-PVE] Violet Vanguard Recruiting for Dragonflight!

Oh! Also, if you want to stick to Moon Guard and play orc, I do know of a guild called The War Wolves on Moon Guard who are part of organizing seasonal Kosh’arg RP events with the great orc community: ⫷- [H-RP] - Military RP Guild -⫸ - Moon Guard - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

Either way I hope you can find the right guild for you!

Evenings past like 4pm Server Time you will see the most players about. Horde RP is spread out quite a bit throughout the world and not just in Orgrimmar. The unfortunate thing is that Orgrimmar isn’t as fun of a city to RP in as Stormwind.

Also, every last Sunday of the month there is the Orgrimmar Guild Faire @ 5pm Server Time. Lots of people attend that.

Thanks for the tip and info about the guild faire. That’s a cool event to check out. Are there any other popular spots other than Orgrimmar?

Duskwood. Duskwood. Duskwood. Duskwood. DuskwoOD. DUSKWOOD. DUSKWOOD. DUSKWOOD. DUSKWOOD!

Well, it just so happens that I enjoy Duskwood. Lol. Is Alliance fairly active there?

In short, yes we are very active, and we welcome cross faction rp as well! We’re night owls though, rp usually starts around 6 to 7pm server.

Good to know! Thank you!
