Expect raids to be harder in shadowlands

Many tryhards have been getting carried the past expacs in raids by playing the most optimal spec as well as the most optimal/meta build for each boss, then they added on top of that by stacking the most broken fotm/meta comb they could possible to kill each boss resulting in stacking everything in their favor.

This of course lead to the reduction of the challenge since encounters are balanced around balanced comps with members who arent 100% optimized for each boss. (If you are going to argue something so dumb as to pretend blizzard balances around optimal play 90% of the guilds would have huge trouble clearing raids cuz most guilds arent filled with tryhard wannabe elitists, so i ll just ignore you) Anyone who has been raiding for a while can clearly see the difference between a normal group and a highly optimized group, the bosses melt and their mechanics unless deadly are easily survivable.

Now in shadowlands not only are covenants locked, conduits will also be locked for a week meaning the tryhards who would change between each boss to the most optimal covenant/conduit/soulbind/spec/talent build are no longer able to achieve maximum optimization, this directly means raids will start being far more balanced and less stacked in the favor of tryhards who would stack 10 fire mages if it gave them an advantage.

Just you wait for the complaints about how raids actually feel hard since they no longer can stack broken ultra optimized fotms xD

I can deal with the no covenant swapping. But the conduit crap being locked in a spec is bad. That really hurts healers as we use our dps specs to do dailies, world quests, etc.

Unlike you, who go out of your way to avoid playing your best, then buy carries provided - at a cost - by those you denigrate as “tryhards”?

The people who are actually serious about getting things like world first will make multiple characters to achieve optimization. You’re never gonna stop min maxing in a video game. Honestly the only people this really affects are normal players who don’t want to have to level 5 of the same character to do well in different forms of content.

Ralphy boy, back with some more Grand Delusions. Take off that corruption, sir!

Indeed the difference is many tryhards wont be able to keep 4 of the same class leveled and more importantly geared enough so they will be forced to learn to play sub optimally at times.

Especially with shadowlands m+ giving only 1 item.

I don’t think you realize how serious some of these top 100 guilds are. MMO players will no life things if it means they can eek out even a sliver of an advantage. Meanwhile the guy who just wants to casually play Mythic + and PVP won’t be able to switch his tools if he feels like it might make the experience more fun for him.

Seconding this.
I’m starting to think we should just do away with restrictions altogether though.

Hey buddy, y’all got some of that meaningful choice…I need it. Just help me out man.

Stopping by so people don’t forget he was posting this a few months ago.

When the Blizzdrone hater becomes the Blizzdrone, what a fall from grace.

Ralph opinions changes based on what the popular opinion is at the time - right now a lot of fuss about people not liking this system, so of course, he is in favor of it.

False. They changed because blizz started supporting LGBT openly.

So now he is in love with blizzard because they are supporting LGBT openly ? I thought they have been doing that for years already.

Ralph started defending blizz when the night warrior homosexual thing first came up.

You know now that you mention it he’s been a lot more vocal since that happened.
