Eternal Embers despawned in Ragnaros' chest

Hello,

Last night when we killed Ragnaros’ and removed the items to distribute via lootmaster the eternal embers left in the chest despawned along with the chest without being distributed.

Not sure what caused this as it never happened previous weeks.

The character Cyrileo was to get the eternal embers inside the chest.

Ragnaros Cache Disappeared with Quest Items

This issue happened in Cataclysm Classic on the character I’m posting from. After killing Ragnaros this week on Thursday, I autolooted the items out of the cache, leaving only the Seething Cinder’s and Eternal Embers in the cache. I moved off of the box and the cache had immediately disappeared without me looting the quest items. Is it possible to have these items restored? It delays all of the raids Dragonwrath staves by a week because of this bug.

Knew I had seen it fairly recently.

No, I’m afraid not, Classicmega. We’re generally unable to award someone with an item they may have received if looted. The Postmaster unfortunately does not mail quest items.

I’d agree with Vorsol that this should be reported as a bug so our QA team can look into it.

Afraid nothing can be done! Best let the embers get picked up before any other loot is done
