Dungeon deserter needs to be removed from the game

there is always a reason, however, that reason isn’t always fair.

The penalty exists because people were leaving Oculus when it randomly came up. They even had to offer a special reward to keep players from taking the penalty. I never left when it came up back then. I stuck it out, but if we got to the final boss and people didn’t know what they were doing and I took the time to explain it and it was still wipe after wipe after wipe I would leave. I should have to take a penalty for that period.

Yeah that’s…not really how that works.

Yeah or maybe the most fair solution is to let the group as a whole take a vote on it?

It might not be fair that four other people have to deal with you in their group if you’re causing issues for them.

Unfortunately, while they can use it for any or no reason at all, it still gets abused as a bi-product. Hopefully the Devs can work out a better system.

It does serve a purpose, it keeps you from joining the same group that will only boot you again.

I love how obtuse you’ve been over the 3-4 threads today. No one is complaining about being kicked for valid reasons. I’ve not read a single post that said “i was a troll and used profane language and slurs and got kicked and that’s not fair.” lol.

People are complaining about seemingly unfair reasons. People are complaining about getting blamed for something they didn’t do. . .

It does serve a purpose, i agree. 30 minutes is a little ridiculous.

I’m glad you clarified that for us.

Yeah you complained a lot and then you told us you get kicked daily. That’s not unfair to you. You are the problem and are getting kicked for a reason.

Most of these posts and threads about getting kicked “unfairly” “for no reason” are people like you who actually are getting kicked for a valid reason but either don’t recognize that or are lying about it.

I heard something somewhere. I can’t remember who said it though.

I like how you complain about a tank performing poorly being a reason for you to leave instead of vote kicking to replace the tank.

If the majority does not agree with you, then you have to either slow down to the speed of the group, leave, or get kicked if you find it too much to handle.

Still, it’s normal/heroic dungeons, the most casual content there is, no need to take them that seriously.

Sure, you can keep dodging accountability, you’ve been kicked as many times today as I have in the last 5 years.

You’ve spent all day accusing people of being liars and bad players. I’m not dodging accountability, you’re literally spending your day trying to make people shut up because you disagree with them and they have the audacity to disagree with you.

So by Blizzards own post that you linked they added the penalty to being kicked because people were trying to intentionally be kicked, likely because they were in a bad group they wanted to leave. What I have proposed is also a solution to that problem, and it’s one where nobody has to take a penalty. If a group falls apart because everyone left because the tank couldn’t stay alive like in my example? Then so be it. Everyone gets to que immediately and start fresh no penalty. The problem in that scenario is the tank isn’t ready to tank the dungeon yet. There are many features in the game now with solo dungeons where they can go on their own and learn how to do it or they can form a group of friends and learn with them. Other people don’t have to be punished. After enough dungeons of everyone leaving the tank, the tank will have to go and get better, level some more, get some better gear and so on.

But if you shut up then who would I talk to?

No, actually I’m just telling people who think they got kicked for no reason that there was a reason they got kicked.

Depends how far into the dungeon, I would say.

Halfway through should be a 15-minute debuff, I would say should be good to go after that. If you’ve been kicked from the beginning say the first boss then it should be 30 minutes or let it tapper down like:

1st boss: 30 minutes

2nd boss: 20 minutes

3rd boss: 15 minutes

The same can be applied to LFR.

I rarely kick someone unless they afk or disconnect for 5 minutes, they are fighting with the group being aggressive and trolling.

I’ve been leveling my worst played classes, and they have been very low garbage dps and I have not been kicked yet.

Ironically, this entire system can be averted:

Only run with friends and guildmates. Leave the trolls to their queue. We did the same thing to Twinks in PvP. Once blizz added a system for locking XP to PvP, we simply did not PvP at 19 anymore, and if we did, we were 20 soon enough and gone again.

And people agree that there is a reason. And that reason isn’t always fair. The biggest point is people arguing that there “can’t” be abuse to the vtk system. There can be. Just because big bad blizz said there can’t. Well, there can. Rules can be broken and abused.

Yeah, all they need to do is have 3 other people to que with if people dislike the system.

ANY system can be abused, and some systems are just a “for any reason”. So, avoid those systems.
