A 1 time gold sink is a lot easier to deal with that an on going cost that would quickly exceed that amount.

Supremely difficult to get a straight answer on any legitimate question because you have no answers. Just needs you want met.
Just because there’s still a tank shortage does not mean that Dual-Spec does not help alleviate the issue.
There ARE tanks who like to quest in DPS spec, because it’s faster and easier to do so and if they could not, then they’d just stay in DPS spec 100% of the time.
Saying “There’s still a tank shortage” as a reason why we shouldn’t dual-spec is like saying “Why bother sending money to charity, there’s still people starving”.
The tank shortage would have been far, far worse if dual-spec and then MoP’s choosing specs were not a thing.
And yes, the current respec system DOES hold people back. Just these past 3-5 days, we’ve had several guildies going “I would try tanking, but…” and the respec difficulties were the #1 reason why not.

Actually, changing your talents was not the same thing as changing your specialization.
The latter could be changed anywhere as long as you were not in combat. You could have your talents set up for DPS, and then change to tank and be able to tank casual stuff like group quests or Heroic Dungeons (or, if we’re making a TBC Classic Comparison, Normals).

Viera, because you’re new here just FYI Redeadchild is a liar and will try to gaslight and make completely insupportable claims against anything you say. He will repeat himself even if he’s been shown to be wrong or inconsistent on a regular basis.
He stands on a #NoChanges unless those changes are already in the game. Ziryus has pointed this out several times and he just ignores the mutual exclusivity while not acknowledging any limitation to the changes he wants versus any future changes.
In short, he is dishonest and resorts to lying just to try to get you to agree with him or he’ll try to trick you into saying something you fundamentally disagree with.

Yeah, starting to see that he’s just repeating the same failed talking points that do not hold up under scrutiny. But still, figured I’d give the guy one last chance to see why he’s wrong.
Also noticed how he partially quoted what I said, and left the relevant bit that destroys his reasoning out. lol.
