GW2 flying is interesting. Will wait to try it in WoW.
I’ll wait and see to judge for myself, but it sounds like it is like this is like the opinions of the the jumping mini-games in ZM.
I find them stupid and torturous and one down-right made me angry that it existed at all.
Others loved them as a challenge to overcome.
I just hope that I don’t find DF flying like that and it’s something that’s not a frustrating mess for me.
It’s more like flying as a passenger inside an airplane with a throttle option, than feeling like Neo or Superman. Kind of like those old Star Wars arcade games. Easier to code, too.

well I got beta yesterday just didn’t notice it so we shall see if I can do this.
The last drake you unlock is the size of a panther/tiger mount, and is my go to. After playing for around 2 weeks, I can literally disable my ui completely and fly endlessly, it becomes second nature. I made a 24 minute video for my guild never landing, staying in the air, max speed, no ui to point out how easy it is.

Yes Dragon Riding sucks big time. It’s like a game was integrated within a game . It serves no purpose. It’s annoying as hell. They should allow normal mounts to actually fly in the region.
Dragon riding is taking away the appreciation you have with the environment design. All you need to think about is momentum.

i flap 3 times and can’t climb to the ruby ponds without alt tabbing to do something fun in the meantime.

dragon riding is pretty fun.
also they built the world to have fun gliding flight style puzzles.
oh boy here comes the loud minority trying to ruin one of the best features of all time already.

It’s a really dumb system that was never fleshed out. No indicators of things in 3d space are available in the UI. Have to take breaks all the time if you’re trying to go up an incline at all. Give us regular mounts back, please!

It only seems the vast majority hate it cause the minority that does comes here and QQs, while the rest of us are enjoying our time.
18 years collecting mounts… I can’t use in the new zone… COOL!

I could not agree more! Dragon riding does suck. The mechanics suck and in no way does it improve QOL or enjoyment of the game in any way. That said, many may enjoy it, but to build an entire expansion around something that just feels like work, and not in a good way, causes me to have less than a neutral opinion of this Xpac from day 1.

So, you don’t do things that require going from place to place? A lot of us do. I’m not sure how it is enjoyable if it’s something you don’t use. Please elaborate on how you are finding it enjoyable.
no cardio. skips wing day at the gym. needs special buffs and talents and sometimes, a break.
meanwhile my 15+ year old gryphon can fly all day, or even just hover for hours if i want.
yeah, not a fan of the Peter Griffin of dragons we got. happy for those that like it, really hope standard flight comes along for those of us who don’t want to help our mounts limp along thru the air. my mount needs to be in better shape than me.
